[Top 5] Hearthstone Battlegrounds Best Builds That Are Powerful

Learn to be the best of the best

Hearthstone fans have been really excited for the changes season 4 of Battlegrounds has brought. First things first, we’re saying goodbye to Hearthstone buddies. Though it’s not all sad news. Replacing our dear ole’ buddies are a bunch of new cards and reworked mechanics.

If you’re unsure what’s good and what’s not in this new patch, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered with this new article. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the best strategies in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 4.

5. Naga – Deep Blue Build

Fish people in the water? Simple enough, right?

Prepare to witness a Naga uprising in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 4.

The time has come for these underdogs to shine and claim their rightful place in the new meta. Major changes have arrived, revolving around key Naga units that will redefine your strategies.

What Makes This Build So Great:

  • Two names take the spotlight in this Naga revolution: Zesty Shaker and Deep Blue Crooner.
  • But let's not forget the ever-reliable Lava Lurker, a staple in your arsenal that now boasts enhanced synergy with the new Naga units.
  • To make the most of your Naga build, prioritize Tavern Tier 2, 3, and 4 units and aim for quick upgrades. The only Tier 5 unit you truly need is Glowscale, although you can easily survive the mid-game without it.

Build Details

Your primary objective is to secure Deep Blue Crooner and Zesty Shaker as swiftly as possible. These two units, when combined, will provide a substantial buff to your Lava Lurker in just a matter of turns.

If luck is on your side, consider adding Reef Riffer to your team to provide additional support until you acquire the essential units. When executing your strategy, remember the following pro tip: Prioritize casting Deep Blues on Zesty Shaker before directing it towards your Lava Lurker.

This sequence optimizes the buff distribution and maximizes your overall strength. With this powerful combo in play early on, you may not even require Tier 6 units, eliminating the need for further upgrades.

But wait, there's more. Here's a little secret to enhance your Naga prowess: Deep Blues can be cast on minions residing in Bob's Tavern as well.

So, if Zesty Shaker eludes you on the battlefield, consider freezing it and casting Deep Blues twice while it remains in the tavern. This tactic opens up new possibilities and allows you to fully utilize the potential of your Naga synergy.

4. Demon – Tichondrius Build

They are friendlier than they look. I promise.

In the past, Demons struggled to find their footing, particularly due to the slow nature of the Bat-build strategy. Unless you lucked out and obtained Famished Felbat early on, Demons were left vulnerable to poison and divine shield counters. But fear not, for the latest patch has turned the tables, making Demons a force to be reckoned with in the current meta.

What Makes the Demon Build So Great:

  • To excel in the Demon strategy for Hearthstone Battlegrounds, your journey begins with the acquisition of Soul Rewinder. This formidable unit surpasses its predecessors, residing at Tier 2 instead of Tier 3.
  • Not only does Soul Rewinder prevent damage, but it also buffs itself every time you take damage. This early game powerhouse sets the stage for the Demon domination to come.
  • When it comes to Tier 3 minions, prioritize securing Legion Overseer and Felemental if possible. These units will play a crucial role in providing Tavern buffs later on.

Now, while the minions we talked about above are great, your ultimate goal lies in obtaining the dynamic duo of Malchezaar, Prince of Dance, and Tichondrius. This combination is a force to be reckoned with, especially when paired with Wrath Weaver on the board. Prepare for a cascading wave of buffs on all your demon minions, accompanied by 2 or 4 free refreshes. This immense sustain will keep you going strong until you acquire the coveted Famished Felbat. Some may argue that the Felbat is not even necessary for securing victory.

Once your Tavern and demons are suitably buffed, consider selling Tichondrius and Wrath Weaver in the late game. This strategic move allows you to allocate buffs to additional Demons, amplifying your strength in the final stages of the game.

Here's a pro tip to keep in mind: Golden Backstage Security doesn't possess an increased damage effect. As a result, you need not prioritize obtaining it during your gameplay.

3. Pirate – Gold Acquisition Build

Pirates are swimming their way to your build.

Prepare to set sail on a pirate-themed adventure in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 4. With Naga and Demon minions receiving their buffs, it's only natural that Pirates would get their share of the treasure too.

While Pirates may not currently hold the crown for the strongest minion type, don’t worry. With a sprinkle of luck and strategic prowess, you can still find yourself among the top three players in the Battlegrounds Arena.

What Makes This Build So Good:

  • The game-changer in this pirate resurgence comes in the form of two new cards: Record Smuggler and Blade Collector.
  • Let's set our sights on the Record Smuggler, as obtaining this treasure is your top priority. In the mid-game, make it your mission to secure this card if you hope to make any headway with your pirate build.
  • All your efforts should revolve around acquiring the Record Smuggler, as its presence will grant you the ability to spend double or even triple the usual amount of gold per turn.
  • This generous influx of gold allows you to effortlessly gather all the additional buffs you need to strengthen your crew. But beware, the path to pirate dominance lies in obtaining the elusive Record Smuggler.

The other key card that should grace your pirate ranks is none other than the Blade Collector. This mighty addition brings formidable offensive capabilities to your crew. Buffing the Blade Collector becomes a priority, and you can achieve this through the synergy provided by units such as Gunpowder Courier, Bloodsail Cannoneer, or Vanessa VanCleef.

However, be mindful that your defense may become a weak point. Without divine shields and with a focus on offensive buffs, you'll need to fortify your defenses. Once you've accumulated sufficient funds, consider recruiting several Lovesick Balladists to bolster your protection. But remember, all these concerns can be mitigated with an early acquisition of the coveted Record Smuggler.

Now, here's a pro tip to keep in mind: If the Blade Collector proves tough to find, Underhanded Dealer can step up as your key unit. This sneaky addition will benefit immensely from the buffs granted by the Record Smuggler and other money-generating units unique to the pirate arsenal.

2. Undead – Reborn Synergy Build

You killed an Undead once and thought it'd die? Rookie.

While the undead Hearthstone Battlegrounds strategy hasn't seen significant changes in Season 4, that’s not a big problem. The core gameplay mechanics remain intact, requiring you to acquire the necessary buffs through Anub'arak, Nerubian King, and unleashing the full potential of Sister Deathwhisperer with a host of reborn minions.

What Makes This Build Great

  • The one thing you need to know about this build is its the mid-game defensive challenges. Unfortunately, the undead build lacks significant defensive capabilities during this phase.
  • Your minions may fall short in terms of stats until you finally acquire Sister Deathwhisperer, potentially leading to an untimely exit from the Arena.
  • It's important to note that the new minion, Xylo-bones, doesn't synergize well with the core premise of this build. The undead strategy revolves around offensive power supported by reborn capabilities, making Xylo-bones a less-than-ideal addition.

Alternatively, you may consider exploring the Eternal build as an option. If luck favors you and you manage to acquire two or even three Eternal Knights early on, it's worth giving this strategy a shot. Be sure to cast reborn on the Eternal Knights to stack their powerful effect multiple times. Once you have the mighty Eternal Summoner on the field, your formidable army of Eternal Knights will only grow stronger with each passing turn.

Here's a valuable pro tip to keep in mind: Soulsplitter holds tremendous importance in both the traditional undead build and the Eternal variant. This unit plays a crucial role in maximizing your strategy's potential, so prioritize obtaining Soulsplitter as soon as possible.

While the undead Hearthstone Battlegrounds strategy may not have undergone significant changes, it remains a formidable option for those who seek the power of the undead. Adapt to the challenges, strategize wisely, and aim to emerge victorious in the Battlegrounds. Acquire the necessary buffs, summon your reborn minions, and unleash the might of Sister Deathwhisperer upon your foes. May your undead army reign supreme.

1. Dragons – Classic Tarecgosa Build

Fire and frost. Yup, it's a bunch of Dragons.

When it comes to the ever-evolving world of minions and strategies in the game, you might anticipate some major changes with the introduction of new minions. But surprise, surprise. Dragons are still going strong. Your reliable core unit, Tarecgosa, continues to play a central role in your overall strategy. However, the game has progressed to address the weaknesses that were present in the mid-game phase of the previous Dragon build. This means that Dragons have become even more formidable during this critical stage of the game.

But that's not all. The addition of alternative methods to enhance and empower Tarecgosa brings an exciting twist to the Dragon gameplay mechanics. Now, you have more options and strategies to consider when it comes to buffing your trusty Dragon ally. It adds a layer of complexity and depth to your decision-making process, making the gameplay experience even more captivating.

What Makes This Build So Great

  • Embarking on your Dragon conquest requires careful planning, and one of the first steps is to acquire Upbeat Frontdrake. This powerful unit holds great promise and plays a crucial role in helping you withstand the challenges of the early game. Its presence provides a significant boost, allowing you to establish a solid foundation for your Dragon strategy.
  • Another unit that you should keep a close eye on is Low Flier. When combined with the formidable Stormbringer, it synergizes exceptionally well, amplifying your chances of achieving victory. This combination enhances your overall gameplay experience, bringing a sense of harmony and cohesion to your Dragon forces.
  • However, amidst the excitement surrounding these new additions, it's important not to lose sight of the linchpin of your strategy: Tarecgosa. This key unit remains central to your overall game plan and should never be overlooked. The beauty of the recent changes lies in the fact that your other units won't become obsolete or overshadowed. Instead, they continue to play important roles, complementing the strength and capabilities of Tarecgosa.

When it comes to buffing your Dragons, the options have expanded, thanks to the introduction of Electric Synthesizer and Sanctum Rester. These new tools offer exciting opportunities to enhance the power and effectiveness of your Dragon units. By utilizing these resources strategically, you can create a formidable Dragon build that can withstand the challenges that lie ahead.

However, it's important to acknowledge that the path to achieving a well-rounded Dragon build is not without its risks. Building a successful strategy requires careful consideration and adaptation to the ever-evolving game dynamics. But fear not, because the potential rewards that await you make the challenge well worth it.

Now, let's talk about a valuable pro tip that could make a significant difference in your Dragon gameplay. Keep in mind that Nadina the Red has undergone a nerf, altering its Deathrattle effect.

Instead of providing a divine shield to all Dragons on the board, it now grants the divine shield to only three Dragons. This adjustment can impact your overall strategy, so it's crucial to take this change into account when planning your Dragon strategies. By adjusting your gameplay accordingly and factoring in this modification, you can adapt and optimize your approach to maximize your chances of success.
