[Top 10] We Happy Few Best Skills Everyone Should Use

Show your Skills by knowing which skills to get first!

10.] Sweet Dreams

In We Happy Few it’s hard to decide where to put your first skill point. This game requires stealth when you act in the roles of Arthur and Sally. So where do you put that sweet first skill point? In the stealth takedown of course! Sweet dreams is a must have skill in early gameplay. Quietly choke people unconscious from behind; smother then unconscious in their beds. In early gameplay you don’t have much in the way of protection and you must keep your whereabouts quiet. While you could rampage in and kill anyone who detects you they will alert anyone nearby, before you know it you’re surrounded and a goner. Takedowns can be triggered by the player while both standing and crouching, but it’s more effective if you’re crouching so that they don’t hear you coming up. You need to be behind them, and they can’t know you’re there. Knocking them unconscious will keep you and your goals from dying.

Why Sweet Dreams is Great:

  • Silent
  • 1 Skill point
  • No prerequisite
  • It can be used standing or crouching
  • Ease your conscience that you’re not a cold blooded killer.

SWEET DREAMS

  • Arthur and Sally
  • Quietly choke people unconscious from behind; smother then unconscious in their beds.

Nighty Night…

9.] Buffier

Whether you are going in with stealth in mind or to kill everyone in your path things go wrong. When things go wrong you need decent health. Buffier requires players to unlock Buff first and costs 5 Skill Points to unlock. Buffier acts very similar to Buff, providing players with another 50% boost to their Health. Having a good amount of Health means that players will not risk dying as often and will essentially make it so that players don’t have to worry about dying and restarting certain parts of the campaign. So whether you get caught stealing or you are fighting through an army of bobbies (police) you will make it out in one piece.

Why Buffier is Great:

  • Only Requirement is buff
  • More health in a large amount.
  • Allows you to be more aggressive in combat

BUFFIER

  • Ollie and Arthur
  • You are even healthier!
  • Add another 50% max health.

Bring it on!

8.] Iron Fist

We Happy Few is like any survival game, things break down. That includes any weapons you make or scavenge. The only weapon that doesn’t break, your fists. Luckily for you, Iron Fist doesn't have any prerequisites. Iron fist makes unarmed hits to the head has a chance to stagger the enemy. 15% chance to stagger to be specific when unarmed melee hits. It’s Less effective against Bobbies sadly. It only cost 3 skill points, making Iron fist a must for the first hour of gameplay.

Why Iron Fist is Great:

  • Stagger your enemies
  • Create openings to escape
  • Get the upper hand to strike your enemy
  • Get it early gameplay and useful in end game
  • Only 3 skill points

IRON FIST

  • Ollie and Arthur
  • 15% chance to stagger when unarmed melee hits.
  • Less effective against Bobbies.

It’s time to get the upper hand.

7.] Iron Stomach

This skill makes survival about 10x easier. Survival includes providing yourself with basic things like water, shelter, and especially food. Food goes bad over time in We Happy Few causing penalties from food poisoning if you eat it. Unless you have what every good frat boy needs an Iron Stomach. Iron Stomach gives you the ability to eat rotten food without getting sick. This ability saves you time and energy when trying to fill your hunger meter. You only need Trackstar and 5 skill points to get Iron stomach.

Why Iron Stomach is Great:

  • Eat anything
  • Food is a hard resource to come by this make the game significantly easier
  • Avoiding sickness is imperative to survival

IRON STOMACH

  • Sally and Ollie
  • Eat rotten food without getting sick

Yuck this steak has gone bad…

6.] High Tolerance

Surely you’ve heard of people building a tolerance to their medication? Normally having a high tolerance is not a good thing but in this case, it’s great. Everyone is on joy in We Happy Few, and they want you to be on joy too…Joy has some pretty awful side effects and the withdrawals are worst causing you to hallucinate and be slower. Overdosing means the user cannot carry out most basic everyday tasks, hence the player cannot lockpick things, craft items, wield weapons, or attack at all. High tolerance eases the rate at which joy takes effect and Joy lasts longer, and gives you less of a hangover.

Why High Tolerance is great:

  • -50% toxicity induced
  • +50% Joy duration
  • Ollie gets sick each time he takes Joy this makes it last longer so he gets sick less.
  • Overdosing makes this game extremely difficult this made it rarely happen.

HIGH TOLERANCE

  • Sally and Ollie
  • -50% toxicity induced
  • +50% Joy duration

Take your Joy…

5.] Oh You

Nothing’s more annoying than being jumped on, run over or someone crouching around your purse. With the “Oh You” skill it’s just a fun quirky part of your personality! No longer will old ladies call for a Bobby for your inappropriate behavior. Making traveling to mission points much quicker, or escaping less noticeable. I found early gameplay without this extremely frustrating constantly being chased down by Bobbies and citizens for accidentally crouching.

Why Oh You is Great:

  • Travel becomes significantly easier
  • When escaping you won’t set off an angry mob.
  • Being chased by Bobbies for accidentally crouching stinks

OH YOU

  • Arthur and Sally
  • Staring, jumping, crouching, and running no longer annoy people.

What are you up to? Have you taken your Joy?

4.] Blender

We all know how tough being a single parent is. With the Blender skill nap anywhere! Stealth is very important to Sally’s character. You have to quickly escape to stop your baby from crying and alert Bobby’s to the babies where-abouts. Look like you belong there, even when you don't. Hide in plain sight. Sleep in owned beds without upsetting anyone. Greater chance of breaking line of sight when escaping enemies.

Why Blender is Great:

  • Hide in plain sight
  • Wear clothes that don’t fit in without setting Bobby’s off
  • Makes Travel faster

BLENDER

  • Sally Super Duper Skill
  • Hide in plain sight.
  • Sleep in owned beds without upsetting anyone.
  • Greater chance of breaking line of sight when escaping enemies

“Sometimes I envy them all, not remembering anything.”

3.] Big Game Hunter

In We Happy Few one of the best things you can have on your side is sweet dreams is so important. It gives you the ability to knock people out a silent but it doesn’t work with foes that are taller than you. Which all Bobbies and Doctors are taller than you. Bobbies and Doctors can be a serious inconvenience. Bobbies and Doctors hit harder and harder to hit. It’d be much easier to knock them unconscious. With Big Game Hunter Arthur can take them out safely and quietly.

Why Big Game Hunter is Great:

  • Take out Bobbies
  • Take out Doctors
  • Knocking people unconscious is an important tactic this means you take anyone out.

BIG GAME HUNTER

  • Arthur Super Duper Skill
  • Stealth takedowns enabled on Bobbies and Doctors.

Are you ready for your Joy?

2.] Proper Care

In We Happy Few weapons deteriorate over time. It can be a death sentence if a weapon breaks mid-battle. When playing as Ollie, craft your own items. If you get the skill Proper Care, what he makes lasts significantly longer than a random weapon you pick up. I personally love the Idea of the military man being able to craft weapons better than what you can find on the street. More than once while playing as Arthur my weapon would break and I was a goner. I found playing Ollie with the Proper Care skill much simpler.

Why Proper Care is Great:

  • Crafted Items last Longer
  • Ollie ends up in combat significantly more since he can’t take joy his weapons wear a lot quicker making Proper Care a must.
  • The only prerequisite is Slugger

PROPER CARE

  • Ollie Super Duper Skill
  • Weapons degrade 25% slower.

What should we do Marget?

1.] Block Buster

Why does it seem like in survival games NPC’s have infinite ammo and unbreakable weapons? Well with Block Buster you can even the playing field. Inverse to Proper Care Block Buster gives you the opportunity to break your opponent's weapon. You also with a well-timed block have a chance to stun your opponents. Once stunned and unarmed you have the upper hand in the fight and come out on top. Blocking is normally an important part of the defense, use the skill Block Buster to make it essential to your offense.

Why Block Buster is Great:

  • Stuns opponents
  • Breaks weapons
  • Turn Defense into offense giving yourself the upper hand.

BLOCK BUSTER

  • Arthur and Ollie
  • 25% to break enemy weapon when blocking.
  • 10% to stun after successfully blocking a heavy attack.

Oi keep your hands to yourself!
