League of Legends has quickly grown to become the most powerful game in professional gaming. The game has over 60 million users out of which 1/3 logs in daily. While other games certainly have plenty of tournaments and E-sports content, nothing can really measure up to the success that Riot has had with their moba.
Most members of the League community have their favorite pro players that they follow diligently. A pro player’s stream is to them what baseball cards are to hardcore MLB fans are, so we have compiled a list of 10 of the most famous League of Legends pro players. Here they are; the very best lol players in the world:
10. NaMei

One of the absolute best ADC's in the world
Zhu Jia-Wen is the real name of the Chinese League player called NaMei, although his summoner name used to be Devil. He is currently on team King and known as one of the best ADC’s in the world. He has played for 5 different professional teams and he’s had remarkable success during his career.
His highest rank in the League was Challenger I which is by no means an easy feat… Some of us can’t get out of Bronze. His favorite champion for the 2015 season seems to be Jinx which he has a 66% win rate with. That’s not bad at all. He is known for his unique “hard adc” style of play.

9. Alex Ich

Alex wins for mother Russia
Alex Ich is the summoner name of the Russian Alexey Ichetovkin. His peak League was platinum 5 and he is currently the mid player for Team Misfits. He actually started out as a Top and Jungle player, but after Diamondprox and Edward joined the team he was currently on, he switched to mid. Alex Ich has played on well over 10 professional teams and has been in the professional gaming spotlight since 2009.
Something unique about this Russian player is the fact that he is one out of a very small group of pro lol players that is married. On top of that, he has a little son that was born in 2013. He has stated that his favorite champion is Ryze since he favovrs tank heavy mages like Galio, Ryze, and Mordekaiser. Here is Alex Ich’s highlight reel:
8. Diamondprox

Another Russian player on our list is Danil Reshetnikov, Diamondprox. Today the 22 year old gamer is the Jungler for Gambit Gaming, but he has also played for the famous Moscow Five and Team Empire. He embodied a true capitalistic spirit by climbing from the very bottom with a low elo of 1800 to reach Challenger I. There is proof that anyone can make it.
He plays the Jungle very aggressively using strong duelers like Udyr to counter-jungle early on in most matches. In fact, he almost singlehandedly revived Udyr in season 3 when he was considered a trash champion by itemizing differently.
He is married just like the previous player on our list, Alex Ich, who also happened to be teammates with Diamondprocs for a short while. Check out this hype moment in the LCS Spring Split of 2014.
7. Doublelift

Doublelift is the King of Vayne, Lucian, Sivir, Ezrael... and pretty much every other adc.
Doublelift is the first American on this list since he hails from Mission Viejo, California. He currently plays ADC for CLG and is one of the most famous and well respected ADC’s in the world. Even though you might not believe it, Doublelift is not the real name of the player behind the screen, it is Yilian Peng.
Doublelift’s most played champions are Sivir, Jinx, and Kalista, and his peak League was Challenger I. Yiliang Peng’s rise to fame in the League world is very well respected due to the difficult circumstances that he went through to start his career. His parents asked him to leave the home when he was 16 since they thought video games were a waste of time and felt like Peng was not respecting them. The next few years were difficult, but you can see that the 21 year old is doing very well today.
Doublelift is a great team player and you can see an amazing wombo combo between him and his support in this play.
6. Froggen

Froggen is the oe who revived Eggnivia
Henrik Hansen is the man behind the screen when Froggen plays. He is a Danish 21 year old man that plays Mid for Elements. He has reached Challenger on the EUW server, and is one of the best mid players in the world.
Froggen was falsely accused of running a ddos attack by ocelote which has now led to that being a running joke whenever Froggen wins anything. He held the unofficial record for the most farm in the smallest time. He managed to rack up a creep score of 300 cs by the 23:10 minute mark while playing Karthus. This short clip shows how Froggen managed to pull out the amazing win against Fnatic in the European LCS.
5. DanDy

One of the self proclaimed best Junglers in the world
DanDy's recent rise to fame can be attributed highly to Samsung White's success at the League of Legend's World championships. The player's name is Choi In-kyu, and he is one of the best junglers in the world. DanDy left Samsung White and joined Vici Stand gaming at the end of last year. He is considered one of the best Lee Sin players and is widely known for his famous "pentakick" that hit the entire enemy team. He is one of the top 3 junglers in the world together with inSec and Diamondprox, or at least that is what he thinks.
4. HotShotGG

HotShotGG comes from London… in Canada. I bet you didn’t know there was a London in Canada did you? Anyway, the player’s name is George Georgallidis and he is one of the best Top/Junglers in the world. Currently he has stepped down from the team (CLG) and now acts as a substitute if needed. His reasons for stepping down were personal, but he is still heralded as one of the best lol players of all time.
HotShotGG was the first streamer to ever rack up over 20,000 viewers on a consistent basis. He often plays either Nidalee or Cho’Gath and, according to Doublelift, can kite ranged champion with melee. Yes he is that good.
3. Madlife

Madlife is God, at least in the bot lane
It is satisfying for support mains to see MadLife on this list since he is the most famous support player of all time. Hong Min-gi is MadLife’s real name and he comes from South Korea. He is currently playing for CJ Entus and has reached Challenger I in the League ranking system.
The very first champion that MadLife ever picked to play was Blitzcrank, and he continues to play him on a competitive level. MadLife is one of those players that have revolutionized the game by the way they play. If someone does a good job playing Blitzcrank or Thresh, you compliment them by saying that they pulled off a MadLife play. That is how much impact this player has had on the League community.
It is commonly said as a joke that the previous name of CJ Entus Frost, which was MiG, stood for MadLife is God. If you’re ever in the bot lane against this giant, just surrender.
2. Xpeke

Xpeke is played by the Spanish Enrique Cedeño Martínez and has been around in the professional scene since season 1. He is a mid player that is currently on the roster of Team Origen. He has reached Diamond I on the NA server and Challenger I on EUW.
While some trivial bits of information have been revealed about him like the fact that he enjoys watching the TV show Lost, he likes listening to Sum 41, and that his favorite movie is Layer Cake, the most important point to know about this pro player is that he executed the best game-winning play in League of Legends history. Well his talent is not fake and that's for sure!
Faker is SK Telecom T1’s star and considered by many to be the best player in the world. His real name is Lee Sang-hyueok and he comes from South Korea. He has been likened to be the Lionel Messi or Michael Jordan of LOL.
He is Challenger I on both the NA and the KR servers. Another amazing thing to consider is the fact that he plays a large multitude of champions. He climbed the NA server with Riven maintaining a win rate over 90%, but other than that he plays all champions available in the game almost.
Another interesting thing is the fact that he almost never uses champion skins but plays them as they are. He has only been recorded using skins during 4 competitive games in League of Legends history. Faker is an amazing player!
