PAYDAY 2 is an action-packed four-player co-op first-person shooter that puts you in the shoes of the good old PAYDAY gang – Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains. Hit the many banks of Washington D.C. with the all new CRIMENET network that gives you a whole amount of contracts to do. It’s time for your PAYDAY.

There’s a bunch of heists you can do offline with AI or with your friends, things like bank robberies, drug trafficking runs, rigging an election or stealing smuggled nuclear warheads. If you complete the heist silently you can get bonus experience points and money.

Lots of contracts in Payday 2 can be done in a stealthy way. Avoiding getting caught on cameras, evading or silently killing guards and keeping any civilian witnesses from calling the police will prevent the alarm from being raised giving you an experience bonus.

But if you fail to do that (and you probably will most of the time) then you have to complete your objectives and bring the loot and escape to a rendezvous point while getting nonstop attacks of police.

Get down on the ground everyone, this is a robbery! Don't move!

Take too much damage and you get knocked down, waiting for a teammate to pull you back up. If no one manages to help you or if you get shot down a few times without healing, you will be taken into custody. Playing on lower difficulty levels lets you eventually respawn but normally you’ll have to wait for your teammates to take a hostage to trade and get you back in the game. You lose if all players get shot down or are in custody.

Once you finish your heist, a screen pops up showing three cards you can choose from. This is what’s called a Payday. There’s a chance you’ll get things such as a weapon modification, a mask, a color, a material for masks or experience/money boosters. Masks are completely cosmetic and have no impact on the gameplay at all. You can also purchase and customize them if you want to look cooler.

It’s hard to fully plan out and organize a heist, as things like vaults or keycards get placed at different spots for each heist, causing panic and confusion to you and the team.

Payday 2 is a game that requires teamwork and quick improvisation to be able to pull of the biggest heist of the year.

47. Rocket League

Rocket League is a physics-based multiplayer-focused soccer game that puts you in an arena where you control a rocket-powered battle car and score goals. The game surprised many, including me when it released. It was something new, something fresh, exciting and fun, and still continues to be a great popular sports game.

You can play the game offline with bots of various difficulties or play online in either 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 matches. It’s such a joy to score a bicycle goal or do an epic save. The game got so popular and is quite a competitive game that has started organizing tournaments and getting reputation on the Esports scene.

There’s also a season mode to play and lots of car customization.

The game has been supported with lots of content for a year and the developers want to continue doing so by adding more DLC and more free content such as new arenas and game modes.

Rocket League is actually a sequel to the 2008 Playstation 3 game, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, developed by Psyonix.

Even though Rocket League is most popular for being a crazy mix of battle cars and soccer, it actually got a new free game mode called “Hoops mode” which is basically basketball with battle cars. 

Overall, Rocket League is a highly addictive sports game that requires lots of practice but is still a whole lot of fun and exciting. If you can get a group of friends to play with you’re sure to pull of some amazing moves once you figure out some tactics. So go out there and strike the ball into the net while doing a backflip.

48. StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void

Take the role of protagonist Hierarch Artanis, ruler of the powerful Protoss race. After many years since the home world of Aiur had fallen to the ruthless Zerg Swarm, you finally have a strong fleet of warships called the Golden Armada that are ready to help you take back Aiur. Unfortunately, another evil known as Amon wakes up from Aiur to stop you and to extinguish all life in the Koprulu Sector. Take back control of the Protoss factions and stop Amon before he takes over the whole sector.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void is the third and last standalone real-time strategy game in the StarCraft II trilogy.

Legacy of the Void’s campaign puts focus on the Protoss and includes a similar amount of missions as in the previous 2 campaigns, Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm.

Multiplayer gets new units and improves the existing units seen in the previous games. The game also drastically changes the economic system of StarCraft II. You now start with 12 workers instead of 6 and the base has lesser resources, forcing the player to expand and as lead developer David Kim states, to “become more aggressive”.

Legacy of the Void finishes the trilogy with an amazing story, awesome music and superb gameplay. Multiplayer is better than ever before, with gameplay that’s fun for both the professional fans and new players to the series.

49. The Culling

Are you the one of sixteen contenders that will survive in this remote island paradise where you have twenty minutes to explore, craft weapons, scavenge items, build traps, hunt and kill each other?

The Culling is an action first-person multiplayer “battle royale” shooter that is currently in Early Access in development by Xaviant. You are one of sixteen players that get thrown into an arena where you must hunt for crafting supplies, craft and find weapons and cut players in half as deadly poison gas slowly fills the arena in the final stages. Use whatever tricks you have up your sleeve to win.

What makes The Culling so different from other arena-style games is how important crafting weapons are. Craft whatever you can as fast as you can to defend yourself in many crazy encounters or end up as the first player to die.

50. Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer survival horror game where players play as the Survivors trying to escape from the violent Killer which one player controls.

Developed by Behaviour Interactive and published by Starbreeze Studios, Dead by Daylight features a group of up to four survivors that must run away from the player who controls the brutal Killer in confined areas such as a secluded forest, an abandoned junkyard, or a decrepit cornfield. Survivors play in a third-person point of view, giving them better awareness of their surroundings, while the Killer plays in first-person view.

Take the role of one of four survivors: Dwight Fairfield, Meg Thomas, Jake Park or Claudette Morel. Your objective as a survivor is to escape the area, which you can do by repairing a specific number of generators which provide power to switches that open big metal doors that lead out of the area or you can escape through a trapdoor that only opens when one survivor is left and two generators are fully repaired.

No one can hide from the Killer.

Playing as the Killer lets you choose from 3 different Killers who each have their own abilities: The Trapper, The Hillbilly or The Wraith. You can’t run or crouch, the game lets you just walk a bit faster than a sprinting survivor. You capture your prey either by hitting them twice or by grabbing them while they hide inside lockers or attempt to jump through windows.

Dead by Daylight is overall a horror game that will sure make you panic and scream as you run from the horrifying Killers and see him do various bloody things to your body once he captures you.
