Protoss – Known for their technological prowess, the Protoss excel in tactics and experience through decades of fighting. They have the ability to readily warp in reinforcements and structures, and can express their psionic capabilities by hailing storms or creating force fields in the battlefield, wreaking havoc to the opposition.

Terran – The Terran Dominion has military capability to rain down firepower to its enemy. Their power may lie in the defensive structures like the Planetary Fortresses or Bunker and powerful siege units like the Siege Tank. They have the ability to adapt to any situation and conquer the battlefield.

Zerg – The Zerg swarm is a force to be reckoned with. They have the ability to reinforce in great numbers and overrun bases with their fast and destructive units. They will outnumber and outposition your army easily so, beware.

4. New Units

Protoss

Adept – The adept is a slow-moving gateway unit that can only attack ground units. Using a glaive attack that deals bonus damage to light units, adepts can use its Psionic Transfer ability to project an image of itself and will teleport to it after a few seconds.

Disruptor – A disruptor is a light-mechanical unit extremely effective against clustered enemies. It can cast a Purification Nova that enables it to become invulnerable and have increased movement speed. After a few seconds it detonates and deals significant damage to an area around it.

Terran

Cyclone – A fast mechanical unit. It has the ability to “Lock On”, allowing it to continue firing even when it is moving. However, if the units move too far apart, the link will be broken. While locked on, its rate of fire will increase significantly.

Zerg

Ravager – An evolution of the Roaches, Ravagers have the ability to cast Corrosive Bile, a mortar-like ranged attack that deals damage to a small area after a short delay. It can damage both air and ground units, also disables force fields upon hit.

Lurker – Evolved from the Hydralisk, these creatures are powerful anti-ground ambushers capable of burrowing into the ground and attacking unsuspecting opponents that enter its domain. It has a linear attack capable of dealing splash damage in a line.

6. Competitive Ladder

In competitive ladder, players have the option to play ranked and unranked games. Ranked games enable the players to acquire points upon victory that will give them the opportunity to gain ranks based on their ranking points. The order of which is as follows: Grandmasters, Masters, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

As it is a ranked match, you will also lose points when you get a loss. The Grandmaster League is composed of the top 200 players in each server. Your rank will be reflected on the profile banner of your icon in-game showing other players the rank that you currently have. So once you get the chance, rank up as fast as you can so you will have a splendid banner to boot.

Though I feel that the price for the final installment of Starcraft 2 is the most awaited one, I think the price will remain around the same as the first two installments were released. The cost of Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm was around $29.99. Hopefully, Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void's price will remain the same. We will know soon enough.

Because the game is still in Closed Beta, I suggest holding off until the final version of the game is released. There are already some strategy guides popping up around the net for Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void, but there’s still a chance that the unit statistics and efficiency will be changed. Although we are all eager to get a glimpse of the new mechanics of the game, let us all wait for the official game to be released. Soon.
