Might & Magic Heroes 6 returns players to the world of Ashan, some 400 years before the events of Might & Magic Heroes 5, where a legendary Archangel General is resurrected and plots to take control of Ashan under the guise of preparing for the upcoming Demon invasion.

Set against a background of murder, betrayal and war; Might & Magic Heroes VI explores the history of the Griffin dynasty before they claimed the crown of the Empire, and reveals the stories of Duke Slava's five children who must each come to terms with their individual destinies as leaders of the five warring factions of Ashan.

I'm going to say something unpopular here, but Heroes V is my favorite HOMM game. Yes, above Heroes III. Unfortunately, Heroes VI was a big step down from both. Much less balanced, with a much more boring campaign and the art is just ... just awful. Heores VII looks interesting but if it's not up to par as well my personal H5 timer will probably surpass even the H3 one.

Unfortunately, Might and Magic 6 turned into complete frustration for me. The Developers of the game tried to add role elements to the game through the new ability system and the dynasty weapon upgrade which i don't like. They shortened the quantity of resources that could be used for the castle development. They leave behind the scenes the fractions of elves and mages and simplified the skins of cities. The graphic is colorful but the map look rather empty.
