[Top 15] Animal Crossing: New Horizons Best Clothes

We could change our clothes daily and we wouldn't run out of ideas

There are different ways in which you can customize your Animal Crossing life: you can design your own rivers and cliffs, you can decorate your house however you want, you can choose between different colors and hairstyles, but nothing screams more freedom to do whatever you want as the clothes you can wear in-game. You can get most of the clothing items by buying them on the Sable Sisters building, but there are some others only obtainable through Gulliver, other special NPCs, crafting, and seasonal events. Let’s explore some of the best clothing items you can wear on Animal Crossing New Horizons!

15. Santa Outfit

Toy Day wouldn’t be complete without a Santa Claus outfit! This set of beard, hat, pants, and coat gives you the complete vibe you need to feel completely festive. You can buy these clothes starting December 1st all the way through December 24th at Able Sisters for the price of 8,230 bells.

14. Mom’s Hand-knit Sweater

This exclusive item can only be obtained as a gift from your Mom via the mail. There are 8 variations of the sweater and you must get your virtual Mom’s letter in June, with a wonderful gift attached to it!

13. Shamrock Suit

St. Patrick’s Day not only brings some nice themed furniture and Shamrock Day to Animal Crossing; it also gives us the Shamrock Suit! A great-looking green suit, hat, shoes, sunglasses, and wand! You can place your order with the Able Sisters while the festivity is unblocked in the game during the first few weeks of March.

12. King TutMask

Aren’t you hungry for some weird looks from your island neighbors? Well, the King TutMask will definitely do that for you! Once you get the DYI recipe from one of your islanders or by popping a balloon, this wearable item can be crafted as many times as you want if you have enough gold nuggets to do so.

11. My Melody Hood

The Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards x Sanrio collaboration brought some of the most iconic characters of the Sanrio franchise to our islands; you might like Hello Kitty or you may love PomPomPurin, but there isn’t a hood so looked after as the My Melody Hood. If you don’t own the Amiibo Cards nor haven’t been able to buy them, you can get this item by trading it over the internet.

10. Silk Hat

Doesn’t the Silk Hat look sick as hell? Well, it definitely is! As prices on Nookazon range from 198,000 bells to an insane amount of Nook Miles Tickets. This hat can only be obtained by helping Gulliver get his communicator back functioning, so be aware of the drunk seagull on your beaches!

9. Handmade Crown

This cute timed item can be bought through the Nook Shopping app during the International Children’s Day weeks around. If you missed your chance to get the hat, you still have the chance to buy it on Nookazon for only 300,000 bells!

8. Candy-skull Mask

If you like exploring cultures from foreign countries, you must already know about Mexico’s Day of the Dead, and if you like colorful styling, then this mask is suited more than perfectly to your style. The Candy-skull Mask is provided by Gulliver the seagull when giving him his communicator, and it follows perfectly the style of typical “calaveritas” attributed to the aforementioned Mexican festivity.

7. DAL Backpack

Hated by some and loved by many, nobody can deny how different and laid-back this backpack looks. Along with some others items only obtainable as a mail gift from Wilbur and Orville, this great-looking backpack can be sold on Nookazon for some nice couple dozens of Nook Miles Tickets.

6. Coin Headpiece

This black and yellow ancient-looking clothing item, as you might have already guessed it, can be obtained as a reward for helping Gulliver find its communicator; it’s one of those few hats that actually can change completely your hairstyle and make you look really cool.

5. Pirate-treasure Robe

Did somebody ask for a pirate Halloween costume? Because Gulliver for sure thought we all did since you can get this gift by helping him when crashing on your island beaches. When completely combined with the rest of the pirate clothing items, you can make some fishing and beach decorating looking like a pirate!

4. Royal Crown

If you’ve got some savings from selling a lot of hot items, you’ll definitely have no problem spending some nice 1,200,000 bells. This item is very rare to get since the Able Sisters’ selection of clothes to sell is always changing, but if you do cataloging with other Animal Crossing players, you can order it on the Nook Shopping app.

3. Wedding Dress and Wedding Tuxedo

The Wedding Dress is way more popular than the Wedding Tuxedo, for sure; but we can’t deny that these clothing items aren’t just cool as part of the Wedding Season event, but can make some awesome photoshoots either during the evening or at night with your special one on your island. You can only get them during June by completing the challenges given to you by Cyrus and Reese.

2. Birthday Hat

Spending part of your real-life birthday on Animal Crossing can for sure be a heartwarming experience; not only do you get a surprise party from some of your neighbors and some really adorable presents from them, but you also get a wonderful Birthday Hat to spend your special day on your island. This doesn’t feel as good as the first time after you already experienced it but still makes it some of the best clothing items in the entire game.

1. DAL Pilot Jacket

Nobody knows which are the exact requirements to get the complete set of furniture and clothing from Dodo Airlines aside from making a lot of travels using the (only one, cof, cof) airline; but you can 100% sure that the DAL Pilot Jacket doesn’t just look awesome and badass with almost any other clothing item you’re using, it’s also very rewarding if you got it on your own (but hey! We won’t judge you if you got it on Nookazon for 1,362,500 bells; not everyone is patient enough to get it through the grinding way… Myself included).
