Top 7 Clash Royale Best Legendary Cards
Legend has it that if you put all these guys together you will be unstoppable.

7. Night Witch

The force is strong with this one.

The force is strong with this one.

Night Witch is the legendary unit that embodies goth. Her black hooded cloak allows her to hide seamlessly in the nighttime. This makes it so when she inevitably attacks the only thing her prey sees is her striking, lightning blue eyes that (of course) match the gem in her staff.

What's great about Night Witch:

  • She is a melee unit with a twist. She can spawn bat units which are able to attack from the air while she rains destruction from the ground.
  • The direct damage she gives is powerful.
  • Deploying Night Witch back by your tower gives her time to spawn an increased number of bats before crossing the bridge.
  • In her last, dying breath she spawns her final bats to avenge her death.

Night Witch details:

  • Cost: 4 Elixir
  • Target: Ground (Spawned Bats: Air and Ground)
  • Speed: Medium
  • Hit Speed: 1.5 seconds
  • Bat Spawn Speed: 6 seconds

6. Miner

Imagine if mole holes were human sized.

Imagine if mole holes were human sized.

Miner, like Night Witch, enjoys the darkness. His profession is digging underground after all, and he loves it. Just look at that enormous smile. This legendary is happy to help you in any way he can, whether that be mining for miners or attacking an enemy base he is there for you.

What's great about Miner:

Because of his digging abilities, you can send him anywhere on the board. This includes enemy territory, making him a unique unit.

He almost guarantees damage to the towers when you send him off.

Miner has relatively high HP. This means that you can use him as a meat shield, protecting other attacking units from the tower archer’s arrows as they approach.

This legendary is low cost. This means that you can deploy him often and getting at least one hit in every deployment lowers the enemy’s tower’s HP over the duration of the match.

Miner details:

  • Cost: 3 Elixir
  • Target: Ground
  • Speed: Fast
  • Hit Speed: 1.2 seconds

5. Inferno Dragon

Who's a good girl?

Who's a good girl?

This adorable dragon is much more fierce than she looks. Below those puppy dog eyes, lies an internal volcano itching to erupt. Don’t scratch her belly too hard or you might get a face full of lava.

What's great about Inferno Dragon:

  • The Inferno Dragon is great at defending against high HP units. This is because the damage it causes to enemy units increases exponentially over time.
  • This compounding damage works against enemy towers as well. So, if you can get her to the tower this good girl will knock it to the ground in seconds, if she can do her work uninterrupted that is.
  • While the Inferno Dragon is hard to tame, once mastered this legendary will become one of the most effective cards in your deck.

Inferno Dragon details:

  • Cost: 4 Elixir
  • Target: Air and Ground
  • Speed: Medium
  • Hit Speed: 0.4 seconds

4. Mega Knight

I wonder what he looks like behind that mask.

I wonder what he looks like behind that mask.

There is the Knight, and then there is the Mega Knight. This legendary costs twice what its counterpart does, but we shouldn’t be surprised that his superior services cost a premium. He has to make a living somehow, right?

What's great about Mega Knight:

  • When you initially deploy the Mega Knight he comes down with a bang effectively declaring his arrival and distributing splash damage. It is critical that you time his decent mindfully, as to not waste his talents.
  • The Mega Knight has not only power, but durability. His high HP allows this unit to survive on the board for a significant amount of time.
  • Like the Inferno Dragon, if you can get the Mega Knight to the tower its destruction is imminent.
  • While this legendary is effective in offense and defense, make sure you balance out your deck with lower cost cards because he is expensive to use.

Mega Knight details:

  • Cost: 7 Elixir
  • Target: Ground
  • Speed: Medium
  • Hit Speed: 1.8 seconds

3. Lumberjack

This one has an ax to grind.

This one has an ax to grind.

You see that liquid purple spewing from the Lumberjack’s mouth? That gives him his unorthodox strength and speed (it also yellows his teeth, but it seems like he’s okay with that tradeoff). While not a magical unit, the Lumberjack still has powerful spells coursing through his blood as he will lay a curse on whoever dares destroy him.

What's great about Lumberjack:

  • The Lumberjack is fast, both in his movement speed and attack speed.
  • This speed helps him travel quickly to enemy units and towers and rapidly take them down. Ruthless, this one.
  • He is also loyal. When he dies he leaves you a gift (or rather a curse to the enemy) in the form of dropping a rage spell where he died.

Lumberjack details:

  • Cost: 4 Elixir
  • Target: Ground
  • Speed: Very Fast
  • Hit Speed: 0.7 seconds
  • Deploys Rage Spell after death

2. Electro Wizard

Do you think he and Sparky are friends?

Do you think he and Sparky are friends?

This kooky legendary strives to light up your day just like lightning brightens his. It is rumored that he is related to Thor, the god of thunder and lighting. If this is true, he is probably the distant cousin or weird uncle. No matter, half a Thor is better than none at all.

What's great about Electro Wizard:

  • Like his contemporary, Mega Knight, Electro Wizard deals out splash damage when deployed.
  • While not true splash damage, he can target multiple enemy units at once.
  • He is especially effective against Inferno Dragon and Inferno Tower because he can reset their stream of lava, never letting their damage potential build up.
  • You can use Electro Wizard for defense as well because he slows down approaching enemy units and can divert units that were locked on to your tower to a nearby ally.

Electro Wizard details:

  • Cost: 4 Elixir
  • Target: Air and Ground
  • Speed: Fast
  • Hit Speed: 1.8 seconds

1. The Log

The Log isn't one to roll over, but stand its ground.

The Log isn't one to roll over, but stands its ground.

The number one legendary card in all of Clash Royale might not seem like much. But do not discount it just yet, it is not just a log; it is The Log. Give it a chance and it’ll roll over your enemies and right into your heart.

What's great about The Log:

  • If you deploy it close to the bridge, The Log can hit enemy units and the enemy tower.
  • The Log is versatile. It is effective at offense and defense.
  • It can tick down the enemy tower’s HP over the game.
  • It can slow down attacking units.
  • It guarantees the death of Goblins, Spear Goblins, and Skeletons.

The Log details:

  • Cost: 2 Elixir
  • Target: Ground
  • Width: 3.9
  • Range: 11.1
