[Top 20] Fallout 4 Best Building Mods That Make Things Fun

Best building mods for the most fun.

20. Unlimited Settlement Objects By Spyder638

Settlement building is Fallout 4's best and most unique contribution to the Fallout franchise. The in-game building mechanics allow players to customize over one-third of the locations on the map. However, as great as the vanilla building mechanics are, some modders have found ways to make them better. Here are 20 of the best building mods to take your settlements to the next level.

We start our list with Unlimited Settlement Objects by Spyder638. This mod removes the limit on how many items the player can place in one settlement. It does this by setting the number of objects back to zero in the game's memory, no matter how many objects you use. This allows you to place as many objects as your hardware will permit.

This mod was created in 2015 and was revolutionary in its time. There are, however, a few mods that do the same thing. That being said, Unlimited Settlement Objects is a great option to expand the number of objects while building and the best choice if you have an older, unpatched version of the game.

1. OCdecorator By Mcface

Last but not least, we have OCdecorator by McFace. OCdecorator is an item mod. It was published on December 15, 2015, and received its last update on October 18, 2018. This mod is wildly popular, having been downloaded over 1.3 million times so far.

Many items in Fallout 4 fall into the "movable" category. That means that they will be knocked around by the player, settlers, and other NPCs. This can be very frustrating for players that  to wish to decorate areas with the objects of their choice

OCdecorator solves this issue. You will now have the option of locking movable items in place. Once locked in, these items will function like crafted items. They will no longer move when interacting with each other. In addition, after locking items in place, you can now control and place them from the workshop menu.
