Dark Souls 3 gameplay

It would make no sense not to mention Dark Souls 3, the game that inspired most of the titles on this list. It’s not a stretch to say that Hellblade is heavily influenced by the series in more ways than one. Using a rich mythology and an oppressive, hellish atmosphere, you fight demons and spirits and die over and over until you learn how each monster acts - until they start changing their patterns and you’re dead again. If you haven’t tried it yet but crave a dark, twisted story that provokes fear and paranoia, pick it up and take a few days off work, you’ll need the time.
