SWBF2 Tier List, SWBF2 Best Heroes
I Am One With The Force

If you’re like me, then you’re pretty disappointed about the developers no longer working on Star Wars: Battlefront 2 to make just okay games like Star Wars: Squadrons. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the game now. Whether you’re just starting or have been playing the game, everyone wants to know who are the best heroes to play as. Here, I can show you the top tier heroes and villains for you to try out on your own. With intensive research and reviewing how others put together their hero cards, I can show you the best heroes to play in no time.

S Tier:

Reserved for the best of the best of heroes and villains. The ones with the best abilities to use. These heroes can also wreck shop in both HVV and Co-Op modes. I highly recommend them to people who have been playing the game for a bit and understand the mechanics of the game better. However, feel free to use these heroes for practice!

Here is the list of heroes that are featured in the S class.

  • Darth Vader: 95/100

  • Anakin Skywalker: 90/100
  • General Grievous: 90/100
  • Kylo Ren: 85/100

  • Captain Phasma: 44/100
  • BB-88 & BB-9E: 40/100

Darth Vader (S Tier):

I Find Your Lack Of Faith Disturbing

Despite him getting his nerf to the Lightsaber Throw ability during the Scariff update, Vader is still one of the strongest heroes in the game. Darth Vader is an overall tank, he can withstand many hits from his enemies and still stand strong at just over half his health.

Why Darth Vader is superior:

  • Focused Rage will give him additional health and a damage reduction when blocking on top of a DPS boost.
  • Lightsaber Throw can do a hefty amount of damage.
  • Able to block while choking opponents.
  • Combining Choke and Lightsaber Throw can destroy enemies.
  • Can withstand attacks like a tank.

The overall rating for Darth Vader: 95/100.

Luke Skywalker (S Tier):

Your Overconfidence Is Your Weakness

Luke Skywalker is one of the strongest light side heroes in the game. He is resilient in both Co-Op and HVV, and packs a huge punch! He’s very fun to use during Co-Op games, especially in small maps where infantry are lining up in a hallway. Luke is also a strong contender in HVV unless players just use him to push you off a cliff.

Why Luke Skywalker is Superior:

  • Fast Swing Speed.
  • Push ability can send enemies flying.
  • The Rush ability helps to fight at medium to close ranges.
  • Repulse good for being overwhelmed by troopers.
  • Deals strong amounts of damage.

Luke Skywalker Power Rating: 95/100

Anakin Skywalker (S Tier):

This Is Where The Fun Begins

With the amount of nerfs and bugs Anakin’s received, he’d drop down a tier. Fortunately, he’s still pretty powerful with only minor glitches to his Heroic Might. He is one of the most played light side heroes in the game.

Why Anakin is superior:

  • Feel like the chosen one with Retribution ability
  • Pull Dominance ability can deal decent amounts of damage to heroes and significant amounts of damage to troopers.
  • Passion Strike ability can cut a hero's health down to half.
  • Strong DPS and Blocking.
  • Heroic Might can get you out of sticky situations.

Anakin Skywalker rating: 90/100

General Grievous (S Tier):

.

Your Lightsaber Will Make A Fine Addition To My Collection

General Grievous is strong, but oftentimes can be tricky to use based on his overall speed. He is one of those heroes where you would need to practice using his abilities to know how to use them. Timing is everything for Grievous, or else you could miss your enemies and possibly fall off the cliff. Once you get the hang of him, he can do a lot of damage.

Why General Grievous is superior:

  • Claw Rush can knock down heroes easily and plow through troopers.
  • Thrust Surge can travel long distances and deal heavy amounts of damage.
  • Unrelenting Advance will destroy anyone in front of him
  • Makes swift strikes at his opponents
  • Great for crowd control in big maps.

General Grievous rating: 90/100

Kylo Ren (S Tier):

Bow To The First Order

Kylo Ren is one of the few characters that are great to play in both Assault and Heroes V Villains. He’s also not difficult to use, making him fun to play as. He’s perfectly balanced, he’s not weak in defense or offense but not incredibly OP.

Why Kylo Ren is Superior:

  • Freeze and Frenzy combo can kill heroes and troopers alike easily.
  • Pull can reach far distances, which can be helpful against snipers.
  • Frenzy is a one-hit kill on troopers and the last hit can break a lightsaber block.
  • Well balanced, no attack is stronger or weaker than the other.
  • Strong blocking.

Kylo Ren rating:85/100

Han Solo (A-Tier):

Hokey Religions and Ancient Religions Are No Match For A Good Blaster

This decision wasn’t easy to make but based on his abilities, easiness to use, and damage output, the final decision was to put him in A tier. The reason being he is good to play as in HVV, but only just okay in Co-Op or Assault. However, he is still one of the strongest blaster heroes in the game.

Why Han Solo is a good hero:

  • His pistol can be used at medium and close ranges.
  • Shoulder Charge ability can take down any hero and can cancel out almost any ability.
  • Detonate Charge can be helpful in small maps and a lifesaver in big maps.
  • Able to take down multiple lightsaber wielders with his dodge roll and shoulder charge.
  • Sharpshooter ability can help with capturing command posts in assault or co-op.

Han Solo rating: 75/100

Obi-Wan Kenobi (A-Tier):

The Strongest Defense Is A Swift And Decisive Offense

Obi-Wan is a great support hero, he has a strong defense with great blocking stamina. His strikes are quick as he rushes in and out of battles. He’s great to use to back up other heroes, however, he can still survive in a 1v1.

Why Obi-Wan is a good hero:

  • Able to block for long periods.
  • Defensive Rush can take down troopers and deflect blaster fire.
  • Restrictive Mind Trick can defuse situations from multiple lightsaber wielders and blaster heroes like Boba Fett
  • All Out Push can send enemies great distances away
  • The final attack in Restrictive Mind Trick can deal heavy damage.

Obi-Wan Kenobi rating: 73/100

Darth Maul (A-Tier):

You Are No Match For Me

Darth Maul is one of the few lightsaber wielders that can fight at both close and medium range. He also excels in all game modes. If you’re playing as Maul and in a hallway surrounded by infantry, keeping in motion can save your life.

Why Darth Maul is a good hero:

  • Spin Attack is satisfying to use when attacking troopers in a hallway.
  • The Spin Attack is also good for staying aggressive against other heroes as well as dodging.
  • Furious Throw is good for quick attacks.
  • Choke Hold ability can have lots of range and send heroes across the map.
  • Very agile, and deals decent amounts of damage.

Darth Maul rating: 72/100

Count Dooku (A-Tier) :

I Have Become More Powerful Than Any Jedi

Dooku can dominate over other heroes. If I were ranking these heroes based on HVV alone, Count Dooku would be at the top of the list for me. He works best at close quarters combat.

Why Dooku is a good hero:

  • Expose Weakness and Duelist combo is deadly against heroes.
  • Incredibly fast swing speed.
  • Duelist alone can melt a heroes health
  • Lightning Stun can knock heroes to the ground
  • Has good dodging to make up for his not great defense.

Count Dooku rating: 70/100
