If the previous game on the list seems too clean-cut for you, you may prefer the ruthless bloody warfare in Berserk and the Band of the Hawk.

It’s based on a classical swords and staves hack and slash and the story doesn’t matter here: prepare to be acquainted with the blood of countless enemies after mercilessly ripping them apart with your humungous enchanted sword. Or you might prefer to burst the bodies of a thousand adversaries with fiery magical spells. In any case, expect lots of blood and destruction and wicked good fun.

You’ll mostly play as a bold warrior named Guts, aptly named due to the relentless torrents of blood and gore being splattered all around him.

There’s less depth to this one than some other RPGs (which is a good thing depending on your style): combat mainly uses just two buttons.
