Vermintide 2 Best Builds For Every Career: Page 2 of 6
12. Handmaiden
While she is useful for supporting frontline heroes, her Dash career skill makes her a threat on her own, able to reposition herself to not only deal with the opposition but also rescue her teammates.
Talents
Level 5: Wraithwillow Stance (Increases effective block and push angle by 50%)
Useful enough on its own, but considering that you may need to dash into the thick of a horde, the extra block/push angle will come in handy.
Level 10: Eldrazor’s Precision (Increases power by 15% but reduces attack speed by 5%)
The reduced attack speed is a small price to pay for the significant power boost. Besides, you can mitigate the cost with weapon traits and properties.
Level 15: Shadowstep (Further increases dodge distance by 20%)
Coupled with the 15% extra dodge distance the Handmaiden gets already and you’ll be hard to catch.
Level 20: Khaine’s Thirst (Kills grant 2 temporary health)
Level 25: Gift of Ladrielle (Kerillian disappears for 3 seconds after using Dash)
3 seconds is a short time, but the invisibility can be just the thing you need to revive a teammate that’s in a perilous situation.
Weapons
Melee: Glaive. Debatably the best melee weapon Kerillian has.
Weapon trait: Swift Slaying
Ranged: Longbow. A versatile weapon, especially useful for dealing with special enemies.
11. Huntsman
The Huntsman’s single target damage is unrivaled. He is not afraid of bosses, if they knew better, they’d be afraid of him.
Talents
Level 5: Keep ‘Em Coming (Increases reload speed by 20%)
The ranged weapon is your big damage dealer, this talent gets it ready to fire again sooner.
Level 10: Make ‘Em Bleed (Critical hits cause enemies to take 20% more damage for a short duration. Does not stack with similar effects (some of the other careers have identical effects, these do not stack, but it does with other effects from different sources.)
A fairly versatile damage boost talent and a good choice for killing bosses quicker. It can be triggered by melee attacks as well.
Level 15: Taal’s Blessing (Markus recovers 2 ammunition from scoring headshots)
This talent paired with the Waste Not, Want Not ability keeps you stocked up on ammo.
Level 20: Soldier’s Spirit (Kills grant 2 temporary health)
Level 25: I’m Coming for Ya (Markus gains a 20% power increase during Hunter’s Prowl)
Yet another boon for the Huntsman to kill bosses jaw-droppingly fast.
Weapons
Melee: Halberd. The Halberd is one of the most powerful weapons in the game, might as well bring it along.
Ranged: Handgun. Only drawback of the handgun is the reload time, this isn’t a problem for the Huntsman.
Weapon trait: Barrage/Hunter
10. Ironbreaker
Seemingly indestructible, the Ironbreaker can protect his team from almost any assault.
Talents
Level 5: Stoutfellow (Increases max health by 20%)
Bonus health and the 30% damage reduction from Dwarf-forged go well together.
Level 10: Miner’s Rythm (After landing a charged attack Bardin recovers stamina 40% faster for 2 seconds)
The Ironbreaker is usually the one that holds the enemy back while the rest of the team deals the damage, this talent allows you to keep the enemy at bay longer.
Level 15: Tunnel Fighter (Reduces the cooldown of Gromril Armour to 13 seconds)
With how much the Ironbreaker can endure, reducing the cooldown of Gromril Armour allows it to trigger even more often in fights.
Level 20: Grudge-Borne (Kills grant 2 temporary health)
Level 25: Oi! Wazzok! (Impenetrable taunt now forces monsters to attack Bardin)
This talent provides a chance to push bosses off a cliff as well as keeping their attention on you instead of your team.
Weapons
Melee: Axe and Shield. An axe and shield with the Opportunist trait allows you to contain almost anything, even a stormvermin patrol.
Weapon trait: Opportunist
Ranged: Handgun
Weapon trait: Conservative Shooter
