3. Dead Space

It is difficult to imagine a fate worse than that of Isaac Clarke, the protagonist in the Dead Space series. You are stuck on a space station that has had its entire crew wiped out and reanimated as necromorphs, vile undead alien like creatures that want to eat you. The worst part is that this scenario happens twice! After escaping this very situation in the first Dead Space game, it happens again in the sequel. This is one poor character that can’t catch a break.

While the combat is extremely violent in of itself, where the violence really shines through is if you get killed. Avoid dying at all costs in this game since it will often result in short gruesome cinematics in which you witness Clarke get ripped to shreds by the undead aliens. The horrifying look on his face in some of the scenes make it so much worse!
