51. Gloria Victis

Gloria Victis is a low-fantasy MMORPG currently in Early Access. Low fantasy basically means the game is set in the real or fictional but rational world with some usual fantasy stuff like monsters and so on. With focus on realism, set out in the medieval sandbox world that features many things to do.

The game includes a realistic skill-based non-targeting combat system as you fight with other players or take part in siege warfare and battle for castles, villages and cities. With a few safe zones the game is filled with PvP, so keep an eye out for backstabbers.

Journey through a large world filled with many thugs and various monsters like man-eating ghouls, two-headed panthers and crazed manticores.

There are eight jobs you can choose to do which are just like the ones people did in the medieval times, and the jobs you and the players have will impact the game’s economy (supply and demand). Featuring a non-instanced housing system, you can build your house anywhere you want or thanks to the territory control feature you can also become a lord and start leading your army to dominate and conquer territories. The non-linear story is filled with quests of various mature themes and there’s also a really cool complex crafting system.

Gloria Victis lets you play through a massive world filled with players fighting for conquest all over the world. Make allies or meet new enemies in the ever-growing MMORPG world full of PvP combat.

52. The Elder Scrolls Online

Journey into the epic world of Tamriel either alone or with friends, guildmates and thousands of alliance members as you explore a land filled with various quests and big PvP battles. Crawl through the many dungeons and caves or spend your whole time reading tons of books full of rich lore.

The Elder Scrolls: Online is a MMORPG developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It has a story that connects with the previous Elder Scrolls games and is the first game in the franchise that you can play online.

There is no offline play but you can still play the game solo, doing tons of exploration and quests in a nonlinear way, just like all the past games have done.

The classical Elder Scrolls quests that send you into caves and ruins to find artifacts or kill some bandits are also present here. Some quests and puzzles you do add even more depth by changing how NPCs react to you later in the game.

Into the Crypt...

You can go do solo and group quests, engage in public dungeons, join guilds or jump in the huge PvP battles that include the game’s three player factions fighting for control over the region of Cyrodiil and the powerful throne of Tamriel.

53. Warframe

Warframe is a free-to-play third-person shooter developed by Digital Extremes. The game takes places in a sci-fi world in which you take control of a Tenno, a race of powerful warriors that survived the old war and have now woken up from a long period of cryogenic sleep only to find themselves in a war of various factions: the Grineer, a race of militarized human clones, the Corpus, a huge corporation with advanced robotics and laser technology, and the Infested, deformed victims of the Technocyte infection.

Tenno must fight back the threat and use the Warframe armor to activate their powerful abilities.

There are a lot of missions you can do both solo and online scattered throughout various planets of the solar system, the moons Phobos and Europa and dwarf planets Pluto, Ceres, Eris and Sendra. If you want more, you can access the pocket dimension called The Void if you have the key for it.

Ninjas with guns...

Before you begin a mission you can customize your Warframe with any color you want and equip up to three weapons: a primary weapon (such as a rifle, bow or shotgun), a secondary weapon (which is usually a pistol, but you can also equip ranged bladed weapons like the kunai here) and a melee weapon (such as swords, axes and hammers).

All of your gear can be upgraded with “mods” that you get from dead enemies or as mission rewards. You can use these mods to install, remove and upgrade into slots on the pieces of equipment.

Missions can be played with up to four players and feature a variety of objectives, things like killing enemies, retrieving data from terminals, assassinating powerful targets, defending an artifact or surviving as long as possible before extraction arrives.

Warframe is a great free-to-play game for those that love third-person shooters, featuring amazing graphics with polished, fast and fun gameplay. You’re a ninja, and in this game, “Ninjas Play Free”.  Hop in Tenno, and slash your way through various enemies with your mighty ninja sword.

54. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Set in a present day alternate reality Bolivia where a corrupt government lets a Colombian drug cartel named Santa Blanca take over  the country, you as an elite Ghost must weaken the drug cartel by killing the leader called El Sueno and deal with the corrupt military that is helping him. Keep ruining their plans so the locals can organize and gather more resistance to push back the cartel.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands is the tenth game in the franchise but the first to feature an open-world.  Play in four player co-op as a team of Ghosts on an undercover mission to destroy the Santa Blanca drug cartel.

Developer Ubisoft says Wildlands is their biggest open-world game ever with third and first-person shooting and driving and features a wide variety of ecosystems, such as deserts, rainforests, mountains and much more. It’s amazing if Wildlands truly is their biggest game ever, considering how big and rich with content their Far Cry games are.

Ubisoft has set out to make the most fun co-op military shooter in a big and interactive open-world. We will find out if the developers succeed in doing so once the game releases on March 7, 2017.

55. Bless Online

Bless takes place in a medieval fantasy world of war between two factions, Hieron and Union. The game is filled with beautiful areas inspired from medieval Europe and features Renaissance cultural themes and a mature plot involving politics, treason and evil tactics.

In-development by Neowiz Games, the game features a story about a decade-long war between two factions. Create your character and choose which side are you on as well as which class you want to play as.

The world looks stunning with all the details that surround you with towns and villages that actually feel realistic to go through. Running on foot would take a long time to explore the huge world this game offers. To make exploring faster you can use mounts or you can find one of many transports that go from city to city. All of the travelling happens in real time.

There are tons of PvP wars you can participate in that happen in this narrative driven world.

A classical quest system that has main and side quests seen in most MMOs is used in Bless Online, with your typical kill X amount of baddies quests or collect X amount of items.  You can level up by completing Monster Hunting quests. When you kill a Monster, an extra quest gets added to the Monster-hunting quest log and after killing the same Monster a few times you get experience points, Gold and Item rewards.

Guess what? Developers will release the game as a free-to-play MMO! It will have a cash shop though, but it will have cosmetic stuff and mounts, so hopefully the game will still be fun for anyone looking for a beautiful free-to-play game.
