10. Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game
Another successful Steam Early Access release, Automation was astonishingly produced by a three person team. It is the perfect game for car enthusiasts and those interested in mechanics.
Players must start from the ground up and decide what type manufacturer they will be. Will they attempt to become a mass merchandiser, or will they stay small and create designer cars? The game allows players to create cars and their engines, allowing for freedom in vehicle customization.
Another positive quality is that the speed of time is adjustable. Future updates will implement more of the tycoon elements, but for now play is mostly centered around automobile design and construction.

11. RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack
This is the easiest to play in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, and some critics even rate it higher than RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. The second edition is actually quite similar to the first edition of the game, but has better graphics and fixed bugs. Also, instead of having to unlock scenarios by completing the first one, all the options for gameplay are available from the onset.
You can decide to start from scratch, or add on to an existing park. This version includes five Six Flags parks and twenty five Six Flags rides from real life.
If you are brave enough, you can even attempt to build your own rollercoaster. With the roller coaster builder, you can choose the track and determine whether it will be high, medium, or low intensity. The parks are completely customisable in that you can change the landscape, add uniquely themed scenery, and name the rides.

Thanks for the nice list Christina! I really enjoyed playing Empire TV Tycoon and Game Dev Tycoon as well. But hey, it is really hard to choose the favs, when somebody is into the genre! Please let me mention my game, called Computer Tycoon! It is the first game about Computer evolution in which you start your own company back in the 70's. Some say it is the "Steve Jobs Simulator", and indeed although the game is a grand strategy and management hybrid, still you have some RPG like elements as well. :) It is currently under early access, so people still can alter its future by their opinion.
