Miles Herrick is a recent graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and Stern School of Business. During the day, his time was spent in creative writing and marketing classes; at night, it was only DOTA 2. He is new to the esports news industry, but he has spent several years on the periphery of the broader journalism sphere -- working as an editor for a Frontline documentarian, a ghostwriter for the American Beauty Star blog, and on several student-run podcasts in college. Miles is an expert in all things DOTA. He keeps tabs on esports in general (yes, he does sometimes watch Ninja's stream), but his passion has always been DOTA first -- both because he loves it and because DOTA doesn't allow you to be passionate about anything else. That being said, when he needs to game with his non-DOTA playing friends, you can often find him fishing in Stardew Valley, scoring own-goals in Rocket League, and getting nuked by India in every game of the Civilization series. Miles is making this transition to esports journalism because his passion for DOTA can no longer be contained to r/Dota2.
