Christine has loved entertainment since she knew what a GameBoy Color was. She grew up as a lifelong geek, with a love of movies, TV, books, anime, and, of course, video games. As a child, getting her to turn off the PS2 or the TV screen was a challenge even for her parents, and now it's up to her husband to pull her away. But, he's a decent gamer too, so at least she married well. She has published a number of Fantasy stories and novels under her pen name, C. McDonnell. Her author journey began 15 years ago, and finally published her first full length novel in 2014, and now has 10 short stories and 3 novels under her belt, along with her personal blog on writing and random stuff. She goes to a Fantasy/SciFi convention every year to meet with other authors, gamers, and cosplayers out the wazoo!
She favors RPG games, and considers herself both an experienced player, as well as a fantasy game connoisseur. She's also into a few sci-fi shooters, along with a shared love toward movies, books, and anime: BIG Anime Otaku since middle school.
Her recent game addictions are Destiny (favored), The Kingdom Hearts franchise, and Bendy and the Ink Machine (A guilty pleasure). Her current anime obsessions include Black Butler, Ouran High School Host Club, and Sword Art Online.
She loves playing games, but her love of games is more than just the sound of machine gun fire and the strangled roaring Heartless bosses from the Kingdom Hearts franchise (her first full-time love). It's the story behind it. the cut scenes, the backstories, the lore, and even the fan theories that create such a rich story; it makes her inner author squeal. She loves writing about games and other entertainment mediums because when you understand or believe deeper parts of the storyline, it doesn't just mesmerize, but also makes you a more devoted geek, gamer or otherwise.
