In many respects, Jacob personifies all of the quintessential elements required of an accomplished video game writer. From delving deep into the role of storyteller during his formative years, to honing and developing those skills into the world of linguistics, Jacob has put in his hours in front of the screen. He comes from a professional background in creative writing, with around a dozen works of fiction under his belt and a supplementary honours degree in literature. Jacob has also been an avid gamer since his adolescence, relishing their therapeutic qualities. To date, he remains a fierce supporter of immersion, particularly enjoying RPG’s that focus on customisation and world-building. One day (almost by accident) he had the brainwave of merging his skillset into his passion, and thus a career in video game journalism was born. Nowadays, Jacob lives a somewhat solitary existence; writing and gaming and gaming and writing alongside his loving partner and their cantankerous cat, Moses.
