Becki grew up playing many strategy and simulation games, such as The Sims Original, The Sims 2, Sims Theme Park, Sims City 3000, Monopoly Tycoon, Oregon Trail Versions 2 to 5 and more. Her current favorites include the Civilization Franchise and Age of Empires II. Becki has also been watching anime and reading manga for over ten years, often in the original Japanese language. Her favorites over the years include Rurouni Kenshin, Yugioh, Violet Evergarden, Seirei no Moribito, among other titles. Becki’s interest and focus is primarily on strategy games and anime with a strong fantasy and/or historical component.

Becki developed her writing skills as a teen while regularly participating in Warrior Cats RPGs in which the RPG itself is conducted by writing fictional text asynchronously. Her technical and professional writing skills were further developed during her undergraduate career at university, resulting in being nominated for two prestigious writing awards by college faculty. Becki graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with two B.S. Degrees in International & Global Studies and Sociology & Anthropology in May 2020.
