Remy has been playing video games since around 1989, ultimately developing a taste for roleplaying games, and began writing reviews, later adding editorials to the mix, since 2003, constantly refining his style and scoring methods and having a unique autistic take on the RPG genre and what constitutes good and bad elements of games. As a Computer Science major, he has a strong technical edge when it comes to analyzing game mechanics and knows well what works and what doesn't. As a fledgling fantasy writer as well since the turn of the millennium, Remy can easily identify good and bad video game dialogue and is not shy to call out blatantly terrible writing, chiefly in the translated Japanese RPGs he has mostly played. He intends to be a gamer and game journalist until the day he dies.
