Stephanie was born in Boise, ID but spent her childhood growing up in Washington State. Games were an important aspect of her childhood, where she learned to count by learning to play 31 on a standard 52-card deck.

An innate love for narrative-heavy games has always been in her wheelhouse. This translates to a love of RPGs such as Baldur's Gate series but also extends to rogue-likes such as Hades and turn-based strategy games such as Xcom: Enemy Unknown.

Much of her career has been spent in video game development where she worked on games such as Jade Empire, Infamous 3, and the Ghost of Tsushima DLC expansion. This has given her a unique view of the gaming world.

Stephanie got her Associate degree from Edmonds College where she studied Humanities as much as she could. A lifelong hobby of authoring short stories and other written content has given her insight into how to structure intricate and intriguing narratives. This combined with a deep understanding of gaming and the gaming community has empowered her to move her career into gaming journalism.
