While working on her BA in English/Journalism, Val put over 100 entertainment articles under her belt during her years as a news reporter. She uses her extensive background in literature and film reviews to analyze game narratives, always striving to answer a simple question: "Does this game tell a good story?" This is what she loves most about writing about games: exploring the stories told through an interactive format. Val has been playing video games from the young age of nine years old, and throughout more than a decade of gaming, she has developed a strong love for horror games.
