Whether you use the staff to blast your enemies away with magic or pummel them into submission, these specific ones will make you look good while doing so.

The humble staff in Guild Wars 2 has come a long way from just being able to channel magic and unleash it to your opponents, to now also being used like an actual bo staff for more physical characters. There are so many unique staff skins to mix and match with your player characters that there is just too many to list in one article, but only the very best can rise to the top. The following staff skins have been chosen because they are what the Guild Wars 2 community have been choosing for one reason or another.

10. Timekeepers Staff

The Timekeepers Staff is more than just a delicate and expensive timepiece. It is a work of art that has a general theme related to the powers of chronomancy which will be detailed later on. Wield this mighty staff and make quick work of all your enemies that foolishly stand in your timeline.

Why they are awesome

  • The Timekeepers Staff is an intricately designed staff that fits the best with the Mesmer's elite specialization, the Chronomancer due to its theme.
  • This marvelous staff skin has unique animations that play out while the weapon is sheathed and unsheathed. While stowed, the hands on the clockface of the staff seems to depict time moving normally and once equipped, you begin to see the hands moving fast.
  • You can see a swirling, rotating glow effect on the timepiece and some subtle particle effects on the staff itself, as well as the sand on the hourglass move about.

Keep hammering them with this enormous weapon until all you hear from is the Sound of Silence.

Why they are awesome

  • The Orchestral Staff, much like the other Orchestral weapons, plays a musical instrument that is based on what your weapon represents when you sheathe and unsheathe it. In this case, you can hear a harp play.
  • The Orchestral weapons all have a trail effect that resembles musical notes in sheet music.
  • The weapon takes inspiration from the classical instrument, the Harp, and has very ornate details that players really need to take a closer look at. 1. Nevermore

There is no denying that at the top of the best staff skins sits the second generation legendary weapon, Nevermore. While Nevermore is less flashy than most of the other staff skins and the other legendary staves, it has been the top choice for the majority of players since its inception. Nevermore takes the spirit of Raven and guides you into the very depths of Guild Wars 2.

Why they are awesome

  • Aside from the fact that it is a legendary weapon with all the abilities they all share with one another, as a skin, Nevermore is a giant branch with the spirit of Raven sitting peacefully on it. Along the main body of the branch, glowing symbols adorn it as glowing spheres hover at the top.
  • When Nevermore is unsheathed, the glowing spheres attach themselves to the spirit of Raven as it merges with the staff, now glowing a spectral blue while perched.
  • While you are wielding this awesome legendary weapon, your right hand becomes covered in a dark aura while being covered in raven's feathers as subtle swirling energy flows from the staff and into your hands. You can also see a flock of raven soaring above you as you unsheathe Nevermore.
  • As you are carrying the weapon on your character, you leave behind spectral wispy feathers as footfalls as you move across the field.
  • An additional effect that you have from using Nevermore is that every time you kill an enemy, you can see a spirit of raven shoot out from the corpse of the enemy.
  • Every time you fire a shot from Nevermore, the projectiles transform into spectral ravens.
