Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead? Which One Likes to Kill Its Characters More
Zombies or Royal Families
It's amazing how killing main characters in long running series was considered a big NO-NO until these two shows graced the screens. It’s unbelievable that even after six seasons, both of shows still keep us on our toes waiting to see if our beloved characters will make it utill the end of the season.
So How Many Points Is a Zombie Worth And How Many Points Is a Stark?
If you are are a fan of both of these shows then you will know that head-counting is no small task for either series. What do we count as a kill? Main characters? Human characters? Human + Undead?
Fortunately, some folks on Reddit were kind enough to watch every single available episode of both shows and came up with a list that shows every single kill (both insignificant and those that made us cry or rage at our TV) that took place in Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
Enough Talk! Let’s See the Blood Count
Let’s start with the number of total deaths;
The walking dead weighs a whopping 1215 deaths compared to Game of Thrones’ (small in comparison) 704 deaths.
It should be noted that out of those 1215 deaths, there are 1007 walkers which equates to nearly 83% of the total death count of the The Walking Dead.
Of course, killing a walker is not the same as killing a main character, and that is where Game of Thrones reveals it’s crimson death toll.
The Walking Dead’s 13 KIA main characters is impressive indeed, but Game of Thrones laughs by reducing it’s cast with 19 dead main characters.
Whether you care for the total Death count or only the number of main characters killed, neither show will dissapoint.
