Alex is a freelance writer with a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College Chicago and two glorious years of experience writing for a living. He helped cover the news during the summer of 2016 as an intern for Channel 6 Action News in Philadelphia, where he had the chance to attend that year's DNC.

Alex has been playing games since he was tall enough to sit at a computer desk, discovering his lifelong love with the art form through early PC classics such as Freddy Fish 4: the Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch. Since then, he's dipped into almost every genre, a slim few examples being role-playing games, space sims, twin stick and first person shooters, military strategy games, indie survival horror, asymmetric PvP, a few telltale games, and of course, Hearthstone.

Alex loves games of all colors, loves to learn about how games are made, and loves to talk to other people about them, so writing news on gaming just works. These days, he spends most of his time free from gaming on freelance jobs, going out for breakfast, playing with his 6-month old puppy, and filling up his portfolio of scripts.
