In love with games since a very early age, Patrick particularly enjoys examining the systems that drive our favorite digital experiences. Starting with original PlayStation favorites like Crash Bandicoot and web-based flash games, his journey with games continues to provide wonderful and enriching experiences with other worlds as well as many opportunities to appreciate the creativity and ingenuity that fuel these experiences. A long-time lover of fantasy and all-around geek, Patrick also immerses himself with fantasy and sci-fi books and films as well as tabletop games. His favorite genres of games include puzzle, turn-based strategy, 3D and 2D shooters, and single-player RPGs, with some of his favorite games being Portal, Minecraft, Sid Meier's Civilization V, and Fallout: New Vegas. Having been praised in the past by many teachers and friends for his writings both academic and creative, he constantly excites at every opportunity to use his writing ability to describe the wonderful insights, experiences, and knowledge that games never cease to provide. Looking towards the future, he hopes that working with Gamers Decide will continue to give him opportunities to pursue two of his most enduring passions: writing and games.
