As a graduate from The London Film School with an MA in Screenwriting, Joe's background lies in film. However, having long been passionate about video games - ever since receiving his first Gameboy at the age of two - he's been immersed in the video game community. He is a creative writer versed in short stories, novels and screenplays (one of which currently in production) and is also a freelance copywriter for Blackwell Media - all forms which play into his love of story and immersion. For him, video games offer the chance to experience this sensation like no other. Looking back at the most prominent games of his upbringing (Zelda: The Wind Waker, Final Fantasy 7 in particular) it’s those titles that drew him into believable, fully fleshed story worlds which resonated the most, coaxing the player in and holding them until the final credits roll. Growing up he’s become an expert in the online competitive space (Battlefield, COD, Destiny) but this desire to be truly immersed has never left his side, a desire that flows through his love of film and video games alike, and one he hopes to impart in just a small way to the reader.
