Sophie Chamberlin is an experienced gamer and writer who began playing video games at a very young age. She grew up playing Nintendo and arcade games with her family and friends. Upon entering high-school, she began to play competitive games in addition to single-players such as Dragon Age, God of War, and Legend of Zelda. She focuses primarily on competitive gameplay for her favorite game, League of Legends, and has been doing so since their second competitive season. She also has a love for fantasy and sci-fi genre, and is a self-proclaimed geek who finds comfort in the worlds of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
She received education in creative writing while attending University of South Carolina, where she participated in a variety of creative writing courses, earning a minor. Her coursework included creative non-fiction, personal narratives, fantasy, sci-fi, and the like. Her major was in Comparative Literature, and thus she is highly experienced in the effective telling of stories and the analysis of narratives. Between her background in gaming and writing, she is highly qualified to write on personal experiences with video games, give analysis of video game plot, story-telling, and characters, and discuss competitive gaming trends. She loves writing about video games because it allows her to share the worlds she loves and her thoughts on those worlds with others, helping to create and build a gaming community.
