6. Monkey Island
Between the dialogue, the settings, and even just the inspiration for character names, Monkey Island delievers laughs on all fronts
When you have the genius of Tim Schafer behind your game, you’re in for a real treat.
Similar to the previous title on this list, Monkey Island is a point and click adventure from the 1990’s that features zombies, pirates, pirate zombies, and hilarious dialogue at every encounter. You assume the role of Guybrush Threepwood, an aspiring pirate, as he sets out to complete the trials set upon him by the pirate leaders of the island, all the while learning about the exploits and stories of the ghost pirate LeChuck (did I mention there were pirates in this game?). Point, click, and laugh your way around Mêlée Island, and if you play your cards right, you’ll be a pirate in no time.
Do you have what it takes to become a pirate legend? Prove it on Mêlée Island as you hunt down treasure and converse with locals
The remastered version features updated graphics and sounds, but the jokes you've come to love from the originial still have the same charm!
