2015 seems like forever ago, but the horror games that the year produced have still left an imprint on the present. Of course, as will all games, there are some that are better than others. Here are the 25 best horror games that were released in 2015.

The Last NightMary

The Last NightMary is an indie horror game set in a small village in Brazil that harbors a legend - a cursed maze forest inhabited by a horrible beast. Players must solve puzzles and escape the maze while unraveling the terrifying tale of an ancient curse.

Five Nights at Freddy's 3

Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is the third installment of the iconic horror franchise chronicling the terrifying history of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a restaurant chain where terrible things have happened to children. Players are again placed in the role of night watchman, but this time, they are in a tourist attraction called Fazbear's Fright and introduced to new camera, ventilation, and audio mechanics, as well as new versions of the animatronics that haunt everyone's nightmares.

Zombie Army Trilogy

Zombie Army Trilogy is a cult third-person shooter that takes place at the end of World War II. Players must fight against Hitler's final army of undead super soldiers and save the world from destruction.

Monstrum

Monstrum is a challenging survival horror game that takes place on an abandoned cargo ship that is infested with monsters. Players are challenged to escape the ship by battling against the game's procedurally generated levels and AI driven predators.

The Coma: Cutting Class

The Coma: Cutting Class is an anime style survival horror game in which the characters are trapped in their high school, being relentlessly pursued by a psychotic killer. Players must avoid their pursuer and explore the environment to figure out why they're there, and how to escape.

Sylvio

Sylvio is a psychological horror game that places the player in the shoes of Juliette Waters, a ghost recorder who has entered an abandoned family park that suffered a landslide years ago. Players must navigate the ruins of the park, listening to the voices of the dead on their recorder in order to unravel the park's sinister secrets.

Kholat

Kholat is a survival horror game that is based on the infamous Dylatov Pass Incident. Players are plunged into the inhospitable mountain landscape with the task of finding out what really happened, all the while followed by the narrator, who is voiced by the popular British actor Sean Bean.

Masochisia

Masochisia is a terrifying psychological horror game that focuses on a young man who, through a series of dark hallucinations, discovers that he is destined to become a violent psychopath. He must embark on a journey dealing with these revelations and attempt to change his fate.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4

The last chapter of Scott Cawthon's popular Five Nights at Freddy's franchise places the player not in a security office, but in a child's bedroom, with no cameras, and no 'Phone Guy' to give them help. Instead, they are equipped with a flashlight and the ability to close the doors against animatronics that will be coming down the hallway.

The Static Speaks My Name is a surreal and disturbing indie exploration game. Players fill the shoes of a man as he obssesses over a mysterious painting and its meaning, with dark implications.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn is a deeply frightening survival horror game that focuses on eight friends who have become trapped at a remote mountain cabin, and strange happenings begin to stir. Players have the opportunity to control all of the characters, and their decisions will affect who lives... and who dies.
