About - Joshua Baker: From the beautiful farmlands of North Cackalacky was born a traveler. Always searching for the right path to take, Joshua Baker has traveled from the rolling hills of Alabama to the harsh winter mountains of Vermont, where he currently resides in search of his purpose, his destiny. He has worked with master builders, fighters, warriors and healers, all while searching for the right path. One day, he'll be the old farmer with stories to tell his kids, but for now, his story isn't finished. As both a writer and a gamer, I see myself as a storyteller. My style of writing can change from making you feel like you’re in the game itself, visualizing the world that has been created for you to lose yourself in for hours, to an informational article on technicalities of gaming. I let my mind wander until I find something I enjoy and think is interesting and then devote myself to creating an expert piece on it as if I’m playing a grindy game and have to complete that task to accomplish my overall goal. I went to college for Civil Engineering, which is a career I am still currently pursuing. This may seem like a disadvantage to most people when they think of writers, but on the contrary, it is a wonderful advantage. What I love about writing, is that I can create a piece of work that can entertain, inform, persuade, and engage a reader while taking them to a new place in their mind. This is the same thing I love about gaming; I can play a game for hours, get lost in this new world that a person or team has created in their mind(s), and produced for me to enjoy in my spare time as I focus on accomplishing all the tasks that are laid out.
