[Top 15] Attack on Titan Best Characters That Are Powerful

Attack on Titan is a Japanese anime which has become famous all around the earth. It is a fictional story about the island Paradis, which is separated from the world. The people living on the island are surrounded by walls and are considered devils. These people are called Eldians and they believe that they are the only living people and there is no humanity outside the walls. The walls are to protect the people from titans who roam the island in search of humans to eat. 

Today I shall be discussing the strongest characters in this anime.

1. Levi Ackerman

Levi Ackerman also known as the strongest warrior of humanity is captain of a team in the survey corps. The survey corps are part of the military which goes beyond the walls and are involved in action against Titans. Levi is a member of the Ackerman family. It is one of the two oldest families who were close to the King and were supposed to protect him. Levi has considerable strength as he was able to incapacitate the Beast Titan along with killing the Titan army single-handedly during the retake of wall Maria. He is the most skilled combatant in the survey corps.

2. Mikasa Ackerman

Mikasa Ackerman is also a member of the Ackerman family. Her parents were killed when she was young so she was raised by Grisha Jaeger, the father of Eren Jaeger. She proved her skill during the training for becoming a part of the survey corps. After Levi, she is the most skilled survey corp member as she does not have fear for any Titan. She was part of the mission to retake wall Maria and proved a vital role in turning the battle in the favour of the survey corps. Mikasa defeated the armoured Titan and capture him using thunder spears.

3. Eren Jaeger

Eren Jaeger is the son of Grisha Jaeger. He inherited the Attack Titan from his father Grisha when he was transformed into a mindless Titan by his father and then ate him. Eren is one of the strongest characters in the anime since he is not only the Attack titan but he has also inherited the War Hammer Titan and the Founding Titan. He is bent on revenge because his mother was consumed by a titan during the fall of wall Maria. He holds the whole world responsible for the death of his comrades and his mother and is marching to destroy it using his powers as a Founding titan. Eren not only resealed wall Maria but also defeated the War Hammer Titan using his skills as an Attack titan. 

4. Zeke Jaeger

Zeke Jaeger is the half-brother of Eren. Zeke was the son of Grisha and his wife who was in the Marley world. Zeke has royal blood as his mother is from the royal family descendent of the king. Zeke also has the Beast Titan which he uses to attack the Eldians. His special move is when he crushes a boulder in his hands and bombards his enemies with rocks. Zeke can change the people who drink his spinal fluid into titans who obey his command. This ability was used during the breach of wall Rose and the war of Marley against other nations.

5. Reiner Braun

Reiner Braun is one of the personnel of the Marleyan mission to annihilate the Eldians by placing spies within them. Reiner has the powers of the Armoured Titan. His Titan is unique because normal Eldian swords cannot go through his armour. The Eldians had to make thunder spears to attack the armoured titan. Reiners titan has more strength than a normal titan as its knuckles are hardened by armour and can break walls. He was used by Marley in its war against other nations. 

6. Grisha Jaeger

Grisha Jaeger is the father of Eren and Zeke Jaeger. Before Eren, he was the Attack titan. Grisha used to live in the Marley world but was sent to Paradis island as a punishment for trying to revive the Eldians. He ended up inside the walls and learnt that the Eldians inside the walls were held in ignorance of what was outside. He approached the Founding titan and when his demands were not met, consumed it and became the Founding titan himself. Later on, both Titans were passed on to his son Eren.

7. Annie Leonhart

Annie Leonhart was also one of the personnel in the group of people to destroy Eldia. She possesses the powers of the Female Titan. Annie's titan may not have many powers but due to her physical combat strength, she was able to almost defeat the Attack titan. Her titan also had the ability to harden certain parts of her body. This was used to inflict more damage to the opponent. She does have a special ability to be able to cover herself in a shell of unbreakable, unmeltable glass. She does this to evade questions from the military of Eldia.

8. Armin Arlert

Armin was a childhood friend of Mikasa and Eren. They joined the survey corps together and worked in the same team. During the retake of the wall Maria the survey corps were able to capture the armoured titan and the colossal titan. Armin got extremely injured during the colossal titans capture. His friends injected titan fluid into him a made him eat the colossal titan. I know it sounds gross and I agree. Armin gained the strength of the colossal titans which was later used during the ambush attack on the Marley. His special ability was that he could burn anything within 2 kilometres radius when he transformed into a titan. Armin is now the mastermind of the survey corps.

9. Erwin Smith

Erwin Smith was the commander of the survey corps. He was the only person who believed that there was humanity outside the walls that surrounded the Eldians. Under his leadership there had been minimum casualties. Erwin led the survey corps during the retake of the wall of Maria. He sacrificed his life by keeping the Beast Titan distracted whilst Levi destroyed their army. He was in a critical condition when he was brought back inside to inject with Titan serum. There was a fight between Levi, Mikasa and Eren. After a long argument, Levi was about to inject Erwin but Erwin moved his arm away. So according to his wish serum was injected in Armin.

10. Uri Reiss

Uri Reiss was the younger brother of Rod Reiss and the uncle of Historia Reiss. He was the true king of the Walls for some time until the year 842 and was Kenny Ackerman's best friend. He inherited the Founding Titan from his father and passed it along with the crown to his niece, Frieda Reiss which was then stolen later on by Grisha Jaeger who passed it on to his son Eren Jaeger.

11. Hange Zoe

Hange Zoe was the engineer in the survey corps. She used to analyze titans and find their strengths and weaknesses. She also played a very big part in the making of the thunder spears. Hange also stayed with the commander Erwin and gave him information about titans. She was a member of Erwin's original squad. Hange devised the ambush on the Marley and it was a success thanks to her backup support.

12. Bertholdt Hoover

Bertholdt was also one of the personnel sent to infiltrate Eldia. He was the one who used the power of the colossal titan to make a breach in the wall of Maria. This allowed titans to enter and devour the humans present inside the walls. Eren considered him as the killer of his mother as a boulder which came from the breach in the wall struck his house trapping his mom inside which led to her death. Bertholdt was also used to almost destroy Eren during the retake of the wall of Maria.

13. Conny Springer

Conny Springer was a recruit who joined the survey corps at the same time as Mikasa, Eren and Armin. He was a fellow member of their squad in the survey corps. They fought side by side during the retake of wall Maria and was one of the survivors of that battle. He was a survivor because of his exceptional skill in his titan combat gear.

14. Jean Kirstein

Jean Kirstein was also a recruit who joined the survey corps at the same time as Mikasa and Eren. He became a very loyal friend to them and used to accompany them on every single mission. Jean was also the survivor of the battle during the retake of the wall of Maria. He was exceptionally skilled in using his titan combat gear and was also part of the ambush attack on the Marley army.

15. Kenny Ackerman

Kenny Ackerman was an assassin. He was also the uncle of Levi Ackerman. Levi was brought up by Kenny until he knew how to survive himself. Kenny also became the head of the police force at one point when there was a revolt within the army. He also captured Eren Jaeger for Rod Riess so that he could feed him to his daughter Historia. Kenny was a very strong individual as he was able to single-handedly hold off team Levi from rescuing Eren.
