Keep moving: These people may be small, but they’re rowdy. Every fight is another chance for you to fall.
Huh?: I’m not even sure what this thing is. I’m willing to bet it’s not friendly.
7. Hunt Showdown

Set in the late 19th century, this multiplayer horror game tasks you with hunting down an array of aggressive creatures. However, once you’ve made a name for yourself, a bounty is placed on your head as well.
Work together in groups ranging from two to ten to take down these beasts. Rely on yourself and your closest friends to survive encounters with other hunters. Keep your character alive and become a decorated veteran – once you die, your experiences are passed down your bloodline, but every death gives you a new character.

5. Outlast

You are a journalist who’s looking for his next big hit. You go to Mount Massive Asylum after hearing that horrible experiments are being done on its subjects. All you need to do is get a few pictures and- oh, well, now you’re trapped in there, too.
Run and hide from these changed men who are visibly stronger than you and will mutilate you for fun. Use the night vision function on your camera to find your way through the asylum, and capture some truly sobering footage as you explore its depths.
You’ll be fine: Nobody is safe in the asylum. Even if you thought you were ready.
Good morning: You’ll have to deal with some truly unsavory people during your stay. Let’s hope that door stays closed.
4. Dying Light

Dying Light is an open-world zombie survival game that puts you in the shoes of Kyle Crane, given the task of retrieving a file containing sensitive data for the Global Relief Effort. Unfortunately, you’re almost immediately ransacked, and now you’re stuck in this quarantined city with everyone else.
Hop from roof to roof with fluid parkour gameplay as you run from zombies. Level up your character as you look for shelter during the night cycle, when the zombies get even angrier. Rescue survivors, scavenge for supplies, and look for airdrops from the Global Relief Effort.
They keep coming: Zombies are a constant threat in this game. You might be ready sometimes, but they’ll always be ready for you.
Zoom zoom: This game is all about moving. The locals might take issue with you being all alive and quick and smart and stuff.
3. Alien: Isolation

Fifteen years after the story of the iconic Alien movie, you play Amanda Ripley, daughter of the film’s lead, Ellen. You join a team of interplanetary explorers to search for the remains of your mother’s ship, and finally get some closure on her disappearance. Too bad that pesky Xenomorph is still flying through the vents and eating faces.
Use your wits and the wrecked ship’s resources to survive against the threat of scared humans, rogue androids, and the bloodthirsty Xenomorph. You’ll constantly expect danger as you do your best to navigate the broken hunk of metal that used to be quite livable.
Burn it down: There will be very few times where you may be equipped to handle the Xenomorph… for a little bit. Count your blessings, queen.
Tut tut: You’ll really start to wish all you had to deal with was one alien.
2. Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight is a fully multiplayer horror game, in which four survivors have to work together to escape the wrath of a savage killer. The player can either act one of the survivors, or take the role of the murderer to make sacrifices for The Entity.
As a human character, fix the generators so the door will open, and you can escape. As the killer, do everything in your power to prevent that from happening (i.e. locate and brutally murder the other four players). Gain experience on either side, which will help slowly improve your chances of passing the skill checks involved with object interaction.
Creeping and lurking: The killer will always be looking out for you. Stay on your guard and learn when and where to run.
Caught: The killers are truly imposing figures. Failing to escape can nearly guarantee your demise.

Metro Exodus is a thrilling and immersive survival experience. Pass through the war-ravaged nuclear dump you used to know as Russia, using stealth and cheap ammunition to battle horrific monsters.
Although there is a story to follow, the game lets you decide how you want to survive. You are given an open-ended approach to your conquest, and your decisions heavily affect the outcome of your squad. No matter what option you choose, a mutant will probably disembowel your favorite teammate anyway.
Really weird stuff: This game doesn’t slow down when it comes to dishing freaky creatures your way.
Everything’s fine: Just another crossbow fight with a giant nuclear were-bear in the springtime. No big deal.
