Hola, mi amigos, we are going to discuss the top 10 weapons in Brawlhalla so make sure you stay till the end. Since there are 13 weapons in the game, you can climb to the top with literally either one. This list is based on the pros and cons of each one in terms of playability, usage, true combos and kill options etc.

10. Bow:

Bow Pro-Play:

BOW COMBO GUIDE (2021) (strings/reads/neutral)

The bow is a unique weapon that shoots fast projectiles at your opponents and goes well against close-range weapons like gauntlets and katars. Players use the bow’s downlight to close the gap between themselves and their opponents.

The bow excels in:

  • Catching landings.
  • The neutral air is a great anti-air move.
  • Downlight, neutral light is a simple true combo but very effective for doing steady damage and closing the gap between you and your opponent.
  • It is quite easy to use but is not a good offstage weapon.

9. Cannon

Cannon Pro-Play:

The BEST Cannon in Brawlhalla

When I first saw the cannon, I thought, ‘Balls.’ I mean cannon balls. A slow weapon that would be no fun to use but a complete misconception. The cannon is a fast weapon that has decent hitboxes and a good set of moves. It is somewhere between long-range and short-range but does both things extremely well. Sorry if I sound a bit biased but that’s just how good the cannon is.

Why use the cannon?

  • The side light covers both aerial and grounded attacks.
  • The side air is extremely important offstage and is useful in regaining stage control.
  • The down air, if used correctly, does wonders for wall-huggers.
  • The downlight, neutral air is a true combo and the best killing option in the cannon arsenal.

8. Katars

Katars Pro-Play:

Brawlhalla: The ONLY Katars Guide you NEED

Only a fool would underestimate the katars. This set of dual daggers is probably the fastest weapon in the game and the potential for combining its quick attacks into combos and strings is insane. Not as good as the scythe but still, incredible. The only problem is their short range. Katars can be countered by dashing and it’s really difficult to knock out early unless you’re Queen Nai.

The katars are great because:

  • The neutral air is the best move in the whole game. You’re a noob and you don’t know what to do in the air, just do neutral air. It is great for building up damage.
  • Katars excel in building up damage and all you need to know is the half-pipe; the sidelight, down light true combo.
  • Katars are great for off-stage encounters.
  • The side air kills wall huggers even if they are in deep orange.

7. Blasters:

Blasters Pro-Play:

Brawlhalla Blasters Guide: PART 1

Blasters are fundamentally pistols that shoot close to medium-range blasts and are great at building up damage. With all honesty, I hate playing against this weapon because blaster players are passive. Blasters are like that small kid in school who would kick your balls in fights, that’s how unfair the blasters are. They hop around the stage and do really well against close to medium-range weapons. The only thing these mean machines lack is aerial attack counters when grounded.

Blasters are super good because:

  • There are a ton of true combos in the blasters kit.
  • All attacks other than the neutral light are very hard to punish.
  • The blasters are very good for maintaining stage control and the neutral air sets up juggles quite effectively.
  • But the fact is they take some grinding to master.

6. Axe:

Axe Pro-Play:

Complete Brawlhalla Axe Combo Guide (2022)

Have you ever fought a guy where you keep punching him but he doesn’t budge and you faint after the first hit? Yeah, the axe is that guy. This weapon is a giant cleaver that is slow but does the most damage per hit. The best move in its arsenal is probably the neutral light that is great for blocking close-range weapons.

The axe is in sixth place because:

  • The axe recovery covers almost 2-3 types of dodges which is the most on any weapon.
  • The downlight is a quick anti-air move that keeps those bunny hoppers at bay.
  • The legend jumps when doing neutral light that saves it from some attacks.
  • It looks cool.

5. Hammer:

Hammer Pro-Play:

Brawlhalla Hammer Guide 2021 | Hammer Combos, Russian Mafia, Tips/Tricks, Strings & More!

This bad boy is exactly what it stands for, it’s a hammer, nothing more and nothing less. It beats the axe because of two reasons; It is one of the best off-stage weapons and secondly, it has quick attacks in its arsenal. Axe lacks both of these things, the axe’s downlight is fast but the hammer’s is quicker.

Why is a hammer in the top 5?

  • Mainly because of its diverse moves kit.
  • The hammer is hard to punish mainly because of its neutral light which has very low startup frames.
  • The recovery, ground-pound and down air make the hammer one of the best off-stage weapons.

4. Sword:

Sword Pro-Play:

Complete Brawlhalla Sword Combo Guide (2022)

Reality check, you’re a noob but you got to low platinum anyway. Why? Duh!! Because of the sword. The sword is just that good. It covers all directions, is fast and is not that easy to punish. Oh no!! I’m going against the lance, what shall I do? The answer is down air because the point directly above the lance is its weak spot.

The sword will always be a great weapon:

  • It is really easy to learn.
  • It has numerous true combos and follow-up strings.
  • The dash down air is underrated but is a really good approach on the sword.

3. Scythe:

Scythe Pro-Play:

My ULTIMATE GUIDE to SCYTHE | PLAY LIKE SANDSTORM

Yes!! The scythe is not number one. Please don’t kill me now. The scythe takes a lot of grinding to learn but is worth it. It stands out because of ‘active inputs’(you saw this one coming didn’t you?) that affect the outcome of the same move depending on which key you press during attack execution. The potential for strings on the scythe is limitless and that’s why it is one of the best weapons.

Why use the scythe?

  • It makes you look like a pro even though you don’t know how to use the scythe.
  • The neutral air, side air is the simplest and really effective combo on the scythe.
  • The neutral light and down light is not easily punished.
  • It is the best off-stage weapon in the game.

2. Orb:

Orb Pro-Play:

Complete Brawlhalla Orb Combo Guide (2022)

The orb is a floating magic ball thingy that does everything the sword does, only a little better and that’s exactly why it’s number two on this list. The orb’s neutral light also breaks combos and strings sometimes, especially gauntlet combos. A back dash followed by a side light is a really good option on the orb.

Why use the Orb?

  • The orb is quick and it excels in punishing your opponents.
  • The exceptional thing about the orb is its down-air bounces off the surface and that increases the range of the attack.
  • The down air is the anti-wall hugger move we all yearn for.

1. Gauntlets:

Gauntlets Pro-Play:

Brawlhalla - The Complete Gauntlets Guide

Moment of truth guys, gauntlets are the best weapon in the game. Now before you start crying like a little baby, let me explain. Take everything the orb and sword are good at, and smash them together with the scythe and viola; you have gauntlets. It has several true combos, and an infinite number of strings and is just broken. The ground pound got nerfed in the latest patch but they are still number 1.

Why is your least favourite weapon on number 1?

  • The gauntlets are probably the most effective off-stage weapon.
  • The side air is almost unpunishable, especially against the lance.
  • The stun with neutral air is great and sets you up for a string.
  • The neutral light is a great way to end strings on some weapons.
  • Some basic true combos are; downlight, dash jump, down air and down-light, side-light.
