Choosing a good religion in Crusader Kings 3 can help you achieve your playthrough goals quicker. Each religion has benefits that can take your game to the next level. Check out the list below of some of the top religions in Crusader Kings 3.
1. Christianity
While this may be an obvious choice, the game is called Crusader Kings, and Christianity is the only base religion that can envoke a Crusade. It also comes with many Holy Orders that can be used to fight in your Crusade. One bad side to Christianity is that the Sadistic trait is a Sin, so if you’re looking to surgically trim your family tree, it might be rough to gain Faith as a Christian Sadist.
2. Norse
The Norse religion is fun because it can be customized during each playthrough. You can also gain the Poet trait in the Norse and have a higher chance of receiving the One-Eyed trait. The Norse also has several Holy Orders to choose from. The Forgiving trait is seen as a Sin in the Norse religion, so if you want to play nice, the Norse religion may not be for you.
3. Hinduism
War Elephants. Do I need to say more? Multiple Holy Orders and Temperate followers are a plus. But we’re mainly here for the War Elephants.
4. Mandé
Mandé is an interesting religion because it gives you a 2.5 boost towards getting twins. Want a big family or a lot of twins? This is the religion for you! There are not many Holy Orders for this religion, but the Sin Traits aren’t commonly desired anyway. Having an exciting boost gives this religion its place on the list.
5. Buddhism
The religion with the second-highest number of Holy Orders is Buddhism. The Sin traits aren’t highly desirable, so you can likely create the character you want. The Generous trait is a Virtue, so you may see some Buddhist characters who are low on money in-game.
