CSGO Best Aim Training Maps
The moment we've been training for.

“Practice Makes Perfect.” “You play the way you practice.” “Practice until you can’t get it wrong.” We’ve all heard quotes like these directed at improving your aim. Fortunately, CS:GO offers a variety of community maps that’ll do just that. With just the click of a button, you can subscribe to a plethora of free training guides on Steam. Without further to do, here are the Top 10 Best Aim Training Maps in CS:GO today.

10. aim_allpistols (leander, 2017)

Can’t underestimate the importance of the first round.

As the name states, aim_allpistols gives players the opportunity to practice with any pistol at any time. Thanks to the map’s moderate size, rounds go by quickly and encounters are imminent. You can peek from the sides, at ground level, or on the ramp. Practice is mostly designed for 1v1 matchups, however, 2v2’s are fairly common as well. Overall, it’s a good way to develop your pistol skills on the eco and first round(s).

Why allpistols is Great For Aim Training

  • Practice with any pistol
  • Switch pistols during rounds
  • Especially good for eco frags/first round(s) training

9. DC-AIM & Movement (Dreazc0v, 2020)

A versatile map offering exceptional aim and movement training.

Located in a warehouse, DC provides you with target practice, movement practice, a shooting range, an arena, and a container room. Target practice and the shooting range focuses on reflexes and reaction time as you shoot from one target to another (with disappearing or stagnant targets). The arena and container room allows you to shoot moving targets from the center/end of the map or by free-roaming (with a few or many obstacles). Lastly, movement practice encourages jumping and precision by placing objects close to one another as you travel across the room. Overall, it’s a fairly spacious map that mimics some of the surroundings of a competitive map.

Why DC is Great For Aim Training

  • Plenty of small and tall obstacles
  • Moving and non-moving targets
  • May improve your reflexes over time

8. Yprac Aim Arena (Yesber, 2018)

Just follow the dots.

Yprac (AA) is a simple, yet effective map. There are 3 modes: Recoil, Dots, and Reaction. Recoil shows the exact spray pattern for each weapon and scores you at the end. With Dots, you remain stationary (for the most part) while shooting at random dissipating targets for 50 seconds. Lastly, reaction time (measured in ms) mode shows a black dot and tells you to shoot as soon as it turns green. YMA then may help improve accuracy and reflexes while you stay still, strafe, hold an angle, and so on.

Why Yprac Arena is Great For Aim Training

  • Good recoil practice
  • Good for improving crosshair placement while holding an angle
  • May improve your reflexes over time

7. Aim Course (Mr. uLLetical, SOAPHY, 2014)

When you want to race yourself.

Another fairly simple map, Aim Course tracks your time as you navigate through each room. Targets are either stationary or strafing (but mostly the former). Most obstacles are shaped like squares or boxes, making it slightly harder to shoot accurately. Thus, good movement is crucial as well. While time is a factor, this course may still improve your crosshair placement, movement, pre-firing (accuracy), and overall accuracy by applying some pressure.

Why AC is Great For Aim Training

  • Constantly moving and shooting
  • May “smoothen out” a player’s movement (at head level)
  • A timed course demands high accuracy and good reflexes

6. Recoil Master (Mr. uLLetical, 2015)

Designed for recoil mastery.

Not only does this map offer recoil pattern displays, but it also uses a 2D dot motion to help you along the way. By doing so, you can break up spray patterns into different parts, and thus work on them separately. If you’re not a fan of spread, however, there’s an option to turn it off. Multiple stationary/moving targets are available as well. Unlike some recoil maps/features, Recoil Master takes a step-by-step approach for spray patterns and thus, makes them generally easier to learn.

Why RM is Great For Aim Training

  • Designed specifically for learning spray patterns
  • Dot “ghost” crosshair guides your spray pattern
  • Ability to break up a spray pattern into groups

5. Training Center 1.5c (ZooL, 2014)

Plenty of ways to train.

1.5c offers 5 different training scenarios. The Triangle and Alpha rooms have bots coming towards you, either in a vertical or circular fashion. Target practice focuses more on strafing and stationary bots. The room with the 4 arrows is similar to the Alpha room with the exception of more stationary bots and any obstacles. Lastly, the AWP room is designed for shooting moving targets in between small gaps, such as B doors on Dust 2. The nice thing about 1.5c is the constant repetition from shooting and moving as you develop accuracy and precision.

Why TC 1.5c is Great For Aim Training

  • Constantly rotating from 180 to 360 degrees; enabling you to shoot targets from anywhere
  • Constant repetition from shooting while moving; thus increasing accuracy on the go
  • Takes obstacles and gaps into account

4. Aim_Training-Reflex-Spray-1Taps (Dreazc0v, 2018)

They just keep coming.

Aim Training provides 4 ways to improve your reflexes and spray: 1) shoot at stationary bots from different positions at a fixed spot, 2) shoot at moving bots with obstacles, teleportation, and random spawns, at a fixed spot, 3) shoot at moving bots, but with many (boxed) obstacles, at a fixed spot, 4) shoot at either stationary or moving bots with or without obstacles, at a fixed spot or by free-roaming. Most areas are moderately sized, while 4) is about the size of an arena. As a result, ATRST is another map that emphasizes accuracy and movement through repetition.

Why ATRST is Great For Aim Training

  • Plenty of obstacles
  • Moving and non-moving bots
  • Constantly shooting

3. Fast Aim/Reflex Training (yolokas, 2015)

Let’s see how fast you are.

Similar to the previous map, Yoloka’s training places bots all over the arena. This time, however, the map is much smaller and the bots can damage you via knife. You can either free-roam or stay near the center of the map as you shoot. Thanks to the presence of death, more pressure is applied, and hence, you’re forced to shoot more accurately and move more precisely. Seems like something you would also use to train against a horde of zombies.

Why this map is Great For Aim Training

  • Good for improving aim and reflexes; as you’re constantly fighting and moving
  • Enemies spawn all over the map
  • Unlike most maps, bots can pressure/damage you

2. Aim Botz Training (Mr. uLLetical, 2014)

All the bots you could ever want, and then some.

Truly bot paradise. From idle to moving, from walking to running, from dying to respawning; they’re all at your service. Thanks to the vast arena, they spawn just about everywhere. You can also use obstacles, such as walls, doors, and boxes. If you just want to constantly shoot bots to improve your aim, this map will do that and then some.

Why Aim Botz is Great For Aim Training

  • Bots can do a variety of things such as walk, run, or stay
  • Up to ~30 bots or so
  • Bots are constantly respawning around you

1. Yprac Map Guides (Yesber)

A comprehensive guide for learning how to use utility and hold/peek common angles.

Sure, it’s not a specific map, but these guides provide practical scenarios for most competitive maps. There are 6 modes (three for utility): defense practice, peek practice, and prefire practice. Defense is good for holding a site or a post-plant situation. Peek practice and prefire practice gives you common angles throughout the maps with friendly and non-friendly bots. Consequently, these guides can greatly help your movement, crosshair placement, and aim, simply by checking the right angles and getting used to a map’s layout.

Why YPM's are Great For Aim Training

  • Practice from competitive maps
  • Good movement training by peeking and prefiring bots from common/uncommon spots
  • Good aim training by firing at bots from common and uncommon angles
