Revolvers are great compared to other weapons in Cyberpunk 2077. Just like any other weapon they come in the form of Tech and Power but there are surprisingly very few, to no, smart revolvers. This list will be going over only Power revolvers, as damage wise, they have some of the best output in the game. Thanks to the 2.0 update and the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC, Revolvers have never been a better option!
5. Rosco
The Rosco is a great revolver but its special ability can be hard to pull off against large groups of enemies. You get this revolver if you loot Dodger at the end of the gig Waiting For Dodger. The concept is really fun. If you shoot someone in the leg it has a chance to make them fall to the ground. Then, if you stand over them and shoot them in the head, it always does critical damage. If you really want to feel like a cowboy, or cowgirl, this revolver is great for it!
Stats:
- 2.5 Attack Speed
- 125 Damage, 150% Headshot Multiplier, 50% boost to Crit Damage
- 1.1 Reload Speed
- 42 Effective Range
- 3.9 Weapon Handling
Excels at:
- Short to Semi Long range due to having a 42 Effective Range.
- Taking down enemies 1 at a time with its unique special ability.
- All out gunfights due to its high base damage and 25% Armor Piercing.
4. Ol’ Reliable
Ol’ Reliable is obtained through the DLC mission Shot By Both Sides by killing and looting the Militech agent Dante. Its special ability is that when you first draw it, or switch to it from a different weapon, the effective range and headshot damage is increased. The further you are from a target when you fire, the greater the critical chance. That makes this weapon a beast for players that switch weapons a lot!
Stats:
- 2.0 Attack Speed
- 115 Damage, 175% Headshot Multiplier, 50% increased Crit Damage
- 1.4 Reload Speed
- 63 Effective Range
- 4.2 Weapon Handling
Excels at:
- Short to Super Long range depending on if you just switched to it or not.
- Taking out enemies from a distance due to increased damage and critical chance.
- Full assaults due to high base damage and headshot multiplier. Can also be switched to mid combat for high burst damage.
3. Crash
After completing River’s questline and saving his nephew, River will give you Crash as a reward. Crash is one of the only revolvers that has a fully automatic firing mode as its special ability. All you have to do is ADS (Aim Down Sights) and charge for a moment and it will activate full auto mode! This is really effective for large burst damage against stronger targets!
Stats:
- 2.1 Attack Speed
- 102 Damage, 200% Headshot Multiplier
- 1.1 Reload Speed
- 42 Effective Range
- 4.7 Weapon Handling
Excels at:
- Short to Semi Long range for single shot fire with a 42 Effective Range.
- Short range when firing with full auto mode due to some recoil.
- Clearing bosses or large groups of enemies with full auto mode, dealting major burst damage.
2. Archangel
The Archangel is a weapon you can only get by following up with Kerry during Johnny’s side quests. If you complete the side job A Like Supreme then Kerry will give you this revolver as a reward. This revolver also has a full auto mode, but it shoots to the beat of the song Archangel by Samurai. This effectively combines Crash and Rosco’s abilities while also applying shock. While firing in full auto, each successive hit has an increased chance to knock enemies to the ground while also having a 20% chance of shocking the target!
Stats:
- 1.9 Attack Speed
- 115 Damage, 200% Headshot Multiplier, 20% Shock Chance
- 0.9 Reload Speed
- 42 Effective Range
- 4.5 Weapon Handling
Excels at:
- Short to Semi Long range depending on if you’re using full auto.
- Taking on hordes of enemies with full auto burst damage along with the extra shock stun and damage.
- Dealing with robots due to the shock damage.
The Number one Best Revolver in Cyberpunk 2077 is The Taigan
Taigan is without a doubt one of the best revolvers in the game. It was introduced in the DLC Phantom Liberty and can be looted from a random airdrop. This revolver doesn’t have a lot of talk, but the damage speaks for itself. When it hits an enemy it has a chance to put a special burn mark on them, causing you to deal only critical damage to them for the duration of the flame. Each person marked increases the damage of your crits and decreases accuracy. Oh, and it shoots explosive rounds!
Stats:
- 2.0 Attack Speed
- 105 Damage, 175% Headshot Multiplier, 40% Burn Chance
- 1.5 Reload Speed
- 30 Effective Range
- 3.8 Weapon Handling
Excels at:
- Short to Semi-Mid range with only 30 Effective Range.
- Dealing with massive amounts of enemies with its special mark ability.
- Taking down bosses with its mark ability and high critical chance.
Overall Revolvers are a great choice for anyone, whether it’s your first playthrough or your 50th. Revolvers specialize in open combat and are rarely good for stealth, but they make up for it with explosive burst damage and highly specialized playstyles!
