Inside Best Endings - All Endings Explained

Inside best endings explained
Is it just me who is bothered by is non-face??

What is inside? The story is left open for interpretation, but the short summary goes like this: Hunted and alone, a boy finds himself drawn into the center of a dark project.

Inside is a fun and interactive game with a lot of challenging puzzles to solve, but it has a dark narrative to it, and the atmosphere is very unsettling.

1 - The Usual Ending

Ending:

Approaching the end, we start to question things; for example, there are the members of this organization allegedly trying to stop us from reaching our objective (entering one of the organization’s labs), but once we reach the water tank, we see what people call "The Huddle," which is a collection of multiple test subjects all embodied together, and it is using one of the mind control devices. As we take them out, we are combined with The Huddle. As soon as we become part of it, the scientist inside the facility seems to start helping us get out of the place, which doesn’t make much sense since they were trying to stop us since the beginning; why help us now?

After coming across the CEO's office, which is next to the cafeteria, some began to believe that he was not actually the CEO but a decoy. Well, when we kill him (if you wait long enough, you can choose not to kill him), it gives us a sense of self-control, but is it real? After the scientists (who are located just as we need them to be) help us escape, we roll right into the beach, and that’s how it ends. Very unambiguous.

There are a lot of theories, but one of them is based on the sirens. Throughout your gameplay, you’ll encounter three beings that can breathe underwater. The theory is that the boy was meant to be a siren; if you look closely, they are similar, but the sirens have black long hair, and he has short long hair, but he managed to "escape," and now he is driven by this underwater creature in the tank. The siren seems to recognize him. The first one didn’t because he was inside the submarine; the second one didn’t attack immediately; and the third one wasn’t trying to hurt him; she rewoke his siren powers.

How to get this ending:

  • Just keep playing normally; no big secrets.

2 - Secret Ending

Ending:

So, if you take a different path, it is very easy to miss the entrance. I’ll explain how to get there in a bit. But this ending is the subject of a lot of theories. Once you’re done with the whole puzzle, you’ll see a big helmet (the ones that we use to control the "people") that is connected to several computers. After we unplug a massive cable, all the operations are shut down, including the boy.

When we see the boy "shut down," we see him behaving similarly to the mind-controlled people that we found when they’re not being controlled, just waiting for new orders. Many people think that this proves that the boy was being controlled from the very beginning; he didn’t have any choice, at least not until the very end, where he unplugs everything.

After several experiments, the organization was able to create a sentient being. The boy was being pulled by an invisible string all along; it was an experiment from the very beginning; he was meant to go and free The Huddle, but at some point, he became aware enough to have the free will to unleash himself and others (including The Huddle) from being manipulated even more by this evil organization. even if being free means their deaths.

How to get this ending:

  • First, you’ll need to find all the secret orbs; there are 14 of them. At the end of the last sphere, you’ll have to follow these steps:
  • Once you have deactivated the giant sphere, as you exit it, notice that the only light is on at the second location, which is in the cornfield. Go back there, and instead of going left, go right. Go to the end, and there will be a lever. Use it in the following sequence:
  • Up, up, right, left, right, right, right, up, up, right, left, left.
  • The door will open. Go through it and follow it to the right. Let go of the cables, and that second remaining light will go out.
