The Metro Exodus will introduce us to a slew of new characters. While some are truly remarkable, others are abhorrent. Not only will we discuss the villains, but also the nice guys. We'll talk about their personality and their reputation. Let's get started without further ado:
10. Baron
Lovely bald head.
Baron was a jerk who supported enslaving the people in the Caspian Sea region. He saw himself as superior and saw nothing wrong with his behavior, considering slavery to be a far superior alternative to living in the wilderness as a "savage."
He worked for an oil business prior to the conflict; when the nukes exploded, he took control of the oil deposits, giving him the chance to establish himself as a brutal dictator. One of Metro Exodus' greatest jerks is this man!
What is this guy known for:
- Despite his terrible set of morals, he was capable of establishing an army and seizing plenty of lands
- It’s easy to assume that he’s weak, although there are plenty of cutscenes where he kicks ass
- He also created a religion to rule over the enslaved
9. Silantius
Technophobia.
The "Church of the Water Tsar," whose headquarters are in Volga, is led by Silantius, and they won't be kind to you. There isn't a single piece of technology in their tiny base since they loathe it all. Silantius, on the other hand, is more concerned with being a control freak than he is with his own faith.
He is not a decent person because he and his cult murder everyone who uses technology, and let's not forget that he also murdered Katya's husband in order to wed her. That's disgusting, and the fool needs to be shot!
What this guy is known for:
- Apparently, he was having a hard time choosing between Katya and the Tsar Fish
- Leader of some crappy cult, not the strongest one but by far one of the craziest ones
- I’ve heard somewhere that Silantius was based on Aleksandr Dugin…
8. Krest
Ummm….
Krest was one of the lucky ones to have survived when the conflict first broke out. He has been many locations and met numerous bandits, but he has never actually become one. He once had the misfortune to come across the technophobic cult in the Volga and had to run away from them rather frequently.
He gave Artyom some assistance, and Colonel Miller eventually hired him because of his engineering expertise. A decent man who deserves to be mentioned on this list!
Why this guy is awesome:
- It’s always nice to have a useful engineer with you
- A person that opposes Silantius is automatically my friend
- Helps Artyom in the Volga section of the game
7. Katya
Katyusha!
In the Volga, Silantius imprisoned Katya. Due to Silantius' desire for Katya to become his wife, who ultimately failed, she was spared her husband's tragic death and was instead saved by Artyom and Anna.
Has hiring her been successful? She did, after all, save some of Aurora's crew members. She is courteous and constantly goes above and beyond to assist others.
Why is Katya awesome:
- She’s a very crucial character in this game - I don’t wanna spoil too much!
- Sweet by nature, always prone to helping and nurturing
- Despite the trauma she went through, she still didn’t let it break her!
6. Tokarev
This guy should get a wig or somethin’.
You will get assistance from Tokarev, a weapons specialist, throughout your explorations on board the Aurora. He is friends with Artyom and is eager to share numerous tales with him, including one about getting into a battle with robbers and almost losing his life. He provides Artyom with a Tikhar that has incendiary pellets in addition to making sure that his comrades have the appropriate weaponry.
I wish there was more to his backstory, but we can admire him for his weapon obsession and friendly demeanor!
5. Idiot
Hurr-durr.
It's a really unusual moniker, I must say. However, he is not truly a fool; rather, he is more of a philosopher, and it would seem that he is smarter than the majority of Aurora's crew. Interacting with him indicates that he has a keen interest in philosophy and that Miller is one of his close friends. He considers his options before acting and works to get the greatest result possible in any given circumstance.
In conclusion, Idiot is not an idiot; he may be a little bit of a bullshitter, but he's still a wonderful person who will motivate you with his lectures on why life is difficult and so forth.
Why idiot is awesome:
- One of the most unique and mysterious characters in the game
- He picked that nickname for himself. Chad.
- Appears to be logical, he thinks multiple times before doing something
4. Giul
Baron’s BFF.
Born in the Caspian Desert, Giul is a fierce female. She opposes the Munai-Baller group, which is infamous for enslaving her people and developing a crazy religion that focuses on repressing anybody who disagrees with the ruling party.
She was consistently friendly with Artyom, Anna, and the rest of Aurora's crew, and she finally rose to the position of head of the resistance in order to slay the remaining slavers who had taken up residence in the Caspian desert.
Why Giul is awesome:
- Pretty badass character design
- Friendly towards Artyom&Anna throughout the game, helped the Aurora crew
- Opposed the slavers, later went on to become a leader of the rebellion
3. Miller
Your granddaddy.
Miller, Miller, Miller. He played with us from the first game till Metro Exodus. Despite having lost both of his legs, he is still a colonel and the captain of the Aurora, making all of the game's decisions.
Miller is a great leader who cares about his team and is prepared to give his life to save Artyom or Anna. He was chilly in the first game, but he warmed to Artyom and became a close connection with him.
2. Anna
Tomboy GF is the best GF!
Although Anna made her debut in Metro: Last Light, she was far more intriguing and less bothersome in Metro Exodus. She is a member of the Aurora crew and is romantically involved with Artyom, therefore she looks out for his safety. Despite her hesitations about traveling to the surface to look for a radio signal, she was always devoted to her team and went along with Artyom on his escapades.
Anna is a skilled sniper, fully capable of kicking ass. Brave, caring, and most importantly - loyal.
Why is Anna awesome:
- Saved Artyom more than once throughout the game
- She looks a whole lot more attractive than in the second game…
- Awesome and interesting character in general, interesting&fun personality
1. Artyom
Not a huge fan of talking.
What precisely is there to say? It's amazing that this man is still alive with all the crap he's been through in his life. He moved from surviving a nuclear holocaust to residing in a chilly Metro and experiencing daily Nosalis bites. He is persistent since he quickly discovered life outside of Moscow after refusing to believe there was nothing more beneath the surface.
Artyom is a macho person who is always ready to put himself through the meat grinder. Despite being one of the most badass main characters in video game history and barely speaking at all, we are nevertheless able to love this guy.
Why Artyom is awesome:
- Has Anna as his girlfriend. ‘Nuff said.
- A close friend of Miller, looks after his friends
- Kills hundreds of monsters on daily basis, and doesn’t say a word. Perhaps he’s Issac Clarke’s lost brother?
