The Plants vs. Zombies franchise has significantly expanded since the very first version made its debut. This game is extremely popular and with the many existing versions, there is a whole lot to enjoy about this game. Let me tell you more about the Top 5 best versions of Plants vs. Zombies that you will absolutely love!
5. Plants vs. Zombies (2009)
The trailer of this game can be seen here:
The very first version of Plants vs. Zombies will inevitably be on the list of the best versions of Plants vs. Zombies to play. This is where everything started and where the love of this game originated. The original version of this game is loved by every player and is almost always chosen as the go-to option. Although the 2009 version is not as evolved as the rest of the franchise, it has the original overall feel-good vibe and will remain a winner for many years. I don't see this game getting “old” anytime soon!
4. Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare (2014)
The trailer for the game can be seen here:
This version of Plants vs. Zombies might just be one of my personal favorites. It contains elements of the original Plants vs. Zombies gameplay, but it introduces us to a completely new world of warfare. This game has more of an active approach when considering the structure. It is not a tower defense game, but rather a role-playing game that contains many more action features and levels. The graphics and overall image of this game are also a massive upgrade compared to the original 2009 version of Plants vs. Zombies. It is quite exciting and enjoyed by many who are not scared of a bit of a challenge!
3. Plants vs. Zombies Adventures (2013)
The official trailer for the game can be seen here:
This is a fun Facebook game created in 2013. This game takes an entirely different approach than the original 2009 version of Plants vs. Zombies. The gameplay consists of building your own town and protecting it from incoming and attacking zombies. The fun part of this game is that you can send zombies to other players' towns! This game is not as challenging as Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare but it has some surprising elements to it that will most definitely be enjoyable to any avid Plants vs. Zombies player. This game is definitely one for the books!
2. Plants vs. Zombies Heroes (2016)
The official launch trailer can be seen here:
This game is a fun extension of the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. It is a card game where you play as one of the 10 heroes on a side. You will play against other players in this game to win. It is a very interactive game and one of my personal favorites, as the characters in this game take an exciting design. They are graphically beautiful and have a lot of personality which adds some exciting elements to this game. The creators introduced some new characters while sticking to their roots with The Sunflower and The Peashooter. This game is loads of fun and I highly recommend checking it out!
1. Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 (2016)
The official trailer for the game can be seen here:
Considering the fact that Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare was one of my personal favorites, you cannot blame me for giving up the top spot for Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2! This game expands on the greatness of its previous version and introduces many more fun features to us. It also adds 6 new classes to the gameplay: the scout Imp who can convert to a giant tank character called the Z-Mech, a mobile tank called Citron made to counter the deadly Imp, a magical sorceress named Rose who specializes in crowd control, a powerful action fighter Super Brainz who deals powerful close-range attacks, a fighter known as Kernel Corn filling in the role of the Foot Soldier on the plants’ team, and a shotgun/sniper pirate called Captain Deadbeard. These features make this game much more enjoyable than any version released thus far. I will most definitely recommend this game to anyone who claims to be a fan of Plants vs. Zombies!
