The outfits we wear in PUBG take many looks, appearances, and styles. Some people go for a comical look, others may go for a simple realistic look, some like to have a more promiscuous appearance, and others like to be fashionable and sleek. Many cosmetics come and go in PUBG. However, with PUBG’s new Workshop feature, you can acquire some of these outfits once again by opening crates! While not all items are obtainable through the workshop and the percentages of acquiring them through the workshop are fairly low, it’s still a good crafting system to utilize if you enjoy cosmetics! Here’s 15 of the top outfits you can wear in PUBG!
15. Default Outfit
Sometimes you can’t go wrong with the basic, default starter outfit. That may sound silly to some however, for many players, this is what they wear all of the time. Some people start the game out in the base white T-shirt and tan pants, and they choose to not buy any new outfits. Many competitive and pro players in the Esports scene also have alternate accounts for competition, and they wear the plain default outfit specifically when they play on those accounts. You’ll obtain this outfit from simply starting the game on a new account.
14. 2018 PUBG All-Stars TShirt
While not a complete outfit, it is still one of the very rare cosmetic items in PUBG. The 2018 PUBG All Stars TShirt complements almost any outfit you can think of. The shirt is fairly plain, just a few words written in Korean on it. However, the shirt was only available through redeemable codes for a limited time. There were a total of 20,000 codes created to receive this shirt. I’m sure that there may be some people though who would sell it on the Steam market for the right price!
13. Ringleader Outfit
Class, humor, elegance, and style… all packed into one outfit. The Ringleader outfit was a limited time outfit in the store in April of 2021. The Ringleader bundle contained a jacket, top hat, vest and shirt, boots and pants. The outfit is a circus themed outfit, however it still provides a level of class to it. This bundle can be obtained in the Workshop!
12. PCS6 Outfit
Every year, the best players in PC PUBG Esports from nations across the globe participate in the PUBG Championship Series (PCS, for short). With this, every time there is a new PCS event, this also brings in new PCS Skins. And PCS6 had a great set of skins that many players loved, and still wear to this day. The color scheme was vibrant, yet sleek and simplistic. This outfit can still be acquired through crates in the Workshop!
11. PUBG Sideshow Bear costume
The Sideshow Bear costume hit the market in April of 2021, alongside the Ringleader outfit. This bear gave animal lovers and PUBG players alike a new costume they could wear on the battlegrounds. If you want to look somewhat silly, but also somewhat fuzzy and intimidating, this costume is for you. This costume can also be acquired via the Workshop as well!
10. The Instructor Set
The Instructor set was a limited time set that contained offered shorts, a simple but stylish top and a hat with an earpiece. The Instructor set is overall, a simplistic outfit compared to some of the cosmetics in the game. However the Instructor set seemed somewhat nostalgic for many, as it very much gives off a resemblance to Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider series. The Instructor set can be purchased on the Steam marketplace!
9. Clown Costume
Whether you’re just a goofy person, someone who wants to troll, or maybe spark some cringing fear in your friends who hate the movie IT, this one’s for you. The Clown Costume released during Halloween of 2018, along with other skins for that season as well. However the clown costume, being the most visibly shocking, carries a bit more of a legacy that some of the others that came out. This skin can be acquired with some luck through the Workshop!
8. PUBG Fresh Hoods Sweat Suit Set
PUBG did a collaboration with the brand Fresh Hoods in 2021. There were a variety of outfits available, however the Sweat-Suit gained much popularity with the playerbase very quickly. The outfit is stylish yet simplistic and comfortable. These outfits were also made for purchase in real life on the Fresh Hoods online store and the players could buy the exact same outfits they wore in game, in real life if they chose to order them.
7. DanucD Outfit
DanucD is a very popular PUBG Streamer from Latvia. She has her own skins in the game that were available for purchase in early 2020. Her outfit contained a hoodie and matching gloves with a light blue, white and dark gray camouflage pattern. The outfit goes well with many other pants, shorts and accessories that you can add to it. It also features her logo on the chest, and her signature “back2back” across the hoodie.
6. WackyJacky Outfit
WackyJacky is another very popular PUBG Streamer. He lives in Denmark and has dedicated the last 6 years of his life to creating content for PUBG. WackyJacky is known for also being very informative and understanding of game mechanics and features. This also has led to him being very successful in creating tutorial-style videos for the game as well. The WackyJacky outfit is a simple white T-shirt with his logo, and a flat-bill ball cap with his logo on it as well. The WackyJacky skins were only available for a limited time as well. However, don’t be alarmed, as of May 2023, he is going to be getting another set of in-game skins and cosmetics coming to the game soon!
5. Yellow Tracksuit Set
Tracksuits have gained notoriety in PUBG over the years. There’s multiple tracksuits available now in the game. Many of the tracksuits are worn often by the Professional players in the Esports scene, and this often has given tracksuit wearers the connotation that they’re a sweaty player. The Yellow Tracksuit Set was sold in 2017 in the Gamescom International Crate. You can purchase this tracksuit in individual pieces on the Steam workshop!
4. Wasteland Set
The Wasteland Set was an exclusive set that was sold in the store during the PUBG Global Invitational in 2018. The Wasteland Set has a very rugged yet stylish look to it. The Wasteland set features multiple items, however the Reaper Mask and the Doomsday Hoodie that come in are two very desired and expensive cosmetics on the Steam marketplace!
3. Xbox Exclusive White Tracksuit
Of all the tracksuits, the original Xbox Exclusive White Tracksuit is one of the best outfits you can get your hands on. It’s arguably the most coveted of the tracksuits in the game, due to its rarity. This tracksuit was only available briefly to Xbox players in the very beginning of the game's lifetime. I believe that this tracksuit is no longer able to be acquired, even through the use of the Workshop.
2.. The Warrior Set
The Warrior set is one of the more straightforward outfits in PUBG. The Warrior set features a camo baseball t-shirt and green high tops. However, the set also features the coveted Green Baklava. This set was an Xbox exclusive set that was only available for 3 days total, and discontinued after. If you see someone sporting the Warrior Set, you know they’re a true Day one player.
1. PlayerUnknowns Set
The PlayerUnknowns Set, the original outfit for PUBG. Even just the Trenchcoat itself is a very coveted item among PUBG Players, however every item in the whole set including the bandanna, shirt, pants and boots makes for a great outfit. The set was available to players who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of PUBG, during the game’s launch. It can still be purchased on steam, if you’re willing to put some money into it.
