Composition is one of the most important factors in playing ranked, right behind personal skill. Without a good team comp, you can pretty much predict a loss. Certain heroes work well with each other, and other conflict and clash on their playstyles. This is my list of the best comps in Battlerite, and some reasoning behind the comps dominating in the arena.

10. Ashka and Lucie

This duo of heroes is not played together very much, however, with the right playstyle, they can dominate the arena. Their kits complement each other’s kit very well, with Ashka putting out a high amount of damage, and Lucie providing a great amount of survivability.

Ashka and Lucie complement each other very well, with the survivability of Ashka amplified by the insanely high healing output of Lucie, along with making up for the weaknesses in each of the kits. The shield of Lucie can protect the squishy Ashka during heavy dives, and the high damage output of Ashka while being protected makes this comp a total pain to play against.

9. Bakko and Blossom

Two polar opposite heroes, these two can come together to form an oppressive comp.

The duo can be played against ranged comps and almost negate them completely, with some relative CC, and both have some of the best ranged blocking abilities in the game. The damage mitigation from Blossom can allow Bakko to play very aggressively, effectively shutting down squishy comps. Add in the healing from Blossom, and Bakko’s in-your-face playstyle, and the team can really throw enemies for a loop

8. Croak and Jade

The invisibility of both these heroes makes this comp pretty strong, but with the lack of a healer or tank, they are easily beaten by players that can handle invisibility.

Croak and Jade do high damage from the shadows. The potential to burst a target from complete invisibility is insane, and the ability to harass from a distance from Jade while jumping on targets as Croak, and this high damage, high mobility, hard to catch team comp brings the pain.

7. Oldur and Croak

The ability for Croak to do high damage is unrivaled, however, Croak falls a bit short without proper help. Oldur provides the help that Croak wants to get some heavy damage off.

Croak and Oldur are a pretty dynamic pair, with Oldur’s ability to protect allies being essential in allowing Croak to get damage off. With multiple stuns, a teleport, and some healing to offer, Oldur is like Croak’s soulmate. The team falls short with dive comps though, as Oldur dies rather easy when there’s no teammate around, and Croak likes to work alone during fights, often splitting from the group.

6. Shifu and Sirius

The two dive-heavy champions can come together and do some magic work on the arena.

Shifu and Sirius are awesome together, with such a high dive potential from both heroes causing threats to any hero. The healing, damage, and crowd control from Sirius opens up Shifu’s ability to decimate enemies’ Health bars. The comp can also stick to a target like no other, making squishy heroes have nightmares about Shifu and Sirius.

5. Jumong and Oldur

The team can come together and put out some serious damage, and in the right hands, a Jumong and Oldur can form an unstoppable team, even against the most oppressive of comps.

Jumong and Oldur are two peas in a pod. Jumong often gets dived on and has little survivability. This huge weakness can be circumvented by Oldur’s ability to protect teammates. With both heroes putting out huge damage while also being able to survive, they can put any team for a run for their money.

4. Taya and Lucie

The unrivaled mobilty of Taya combined with the shielding of Lucie can make for some awesome damage from this team comp.

Taya is regarded as the mobile hero in Battlerite, with multiple abilities to increase speed or throw enemies around. The major downside is her weak survivability. Lucie can provide this survivability needed for Taya through healing and the huge shield, allowing Taya to become the mobile killing machine that is she known to be.

3. Ashka and Croak

Two of the highest damage output heroes in Battlerite together in a team comp is like a dream come true.

Ashka has some survivability on his own, through healing and his escape abilities. This is perfect for Croak, who likes to work alone and split from the group. These two heroes can create some heavy damage in a hurry, with Ashka doing some damage over time and zoning, and Croak coming from the darkness to wreak havoc on enemies’ back line in big bursts. This comp is a nightmare for squishy heroes and can almost be impossible to play against.

2. Ulric and Bakko

With multiple shields and some insane power in the melee range, these two fighters are great together to duke it out with enemies.

Ulric and Bakko complement each other very well: the healing and crowd control effects from Ulric open up Bakko’s potential. The shields from both these heroes negate ranged threats, and almost no melee hero is going to be able to burst them, let alone fight them head on. This comp has to be chipped away and has very little weakness.

1. Thorn and Oldur

The best team comp I have come across. The kits of these two heroes complement better than any other, and it can be horrible to play against.

Oldur and Thorn are the best team comp. Oldur puts out some major control and damage from a distance, and Thorn can add to this harass with his abilities. If an enemy steps out, Oldur and Thorn can lock him down and do major damage. The lack of healing from Oldur’s kit is negated by the fact that Thorn has some good passive healing, and the two having such strong control allows damage to be traded almost freely. This team can lock down targets, set up huge Thorn ultimates, and the comp is one of the hardest to kill on the list, with both heroes being somewhat tanky and having healing. These guys made it to the top of my list, and with good reason.
