10 - The Charger
See The Charger Run:
Appears In the game Left 4 Dead 2
What Is It About: Set in the zombie apocalypse, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Left 4 Dead, the #1 co-op game of 2008.
This cooperative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps, and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns.
Okay, now imagine this scenario, you’re minding your own business, fighting a couple of zombies, and all of a sudden a big monster shows up runs in your direction grabs you, and starts to slam you against the floor. That’s pretty scary. The nice thing is that you can choose to play as this monster to terrify another person.
9 - Nemesis
See Nemesis Run:
Appears In the game Resident Evil 3
What Is It About: A deadly virus engulfs the residents of Raccoon City in September of 1998, plunging the city into chaos as flesh-eating zombies roam the streets looking for survivors. An unparalleled adrenaline rush, a gripping storyline, and unimaginable horrors await you.
From the beginning of the game to the end, this enormous and scary creature starts to follow you around, you’re never safe. You have to do your missions in constant fear, I personally got very stressed and paranoid while playing this game. He definitely didn’t get the hint that we were not interested.
8 - Hocker
See Hocker Run:
Appears In the game Back 4 Blood
What Is It About: Back 4 Blood is a thrilling cooperative first-person shooter from the creators of the critically acclaimed Left 4 Dead franchise. Experience the intense 4 player co-op narrative campaign, competitive multiplayer as a human or a Ridden, and frenetic gameplay that keeps you in the action.
I cannot explain the fear you feel when you see this scary creature coming your way. I mean it is pretty disgusting as it is, but having to deal with him all over you? That is a nightmare scenario. My tip for you is to hide behind your friends and pray that you’re not next on his menu. Spoiler alert: You are.
7 - The Witch
See The Witch Run:
Appears In the game Left 4 Dead
What Is It About: Set in the immediate aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, L4D's survival co-op mode lets you blast a path through the infected in four unique “movies,” guiding your survivors across the rooftops of an abandoned metropolis, through rural ghost towns, and through pitch-black forests in your quest to escape a devastated Ground Zero crawling with infected enemies.
If you hear her cry, do NOT engage!!! Actually, if you see her just run in the other direction. If you disturb her in any way, you’ll pay. She will take you down and if your friends don’t help you, she’ll kill you. After her attack, you’ll need urgent medical care. Here’s a tip that I always use when playing the game: Let your friend go first. They’ll most likely be the subject of her ire.
6 - Scarlet Witch
See Scarlet Witch Run:
Appears In the series What If… Zombies?: Episode 5
What Is It About: When The Avengers are infected by a zombie plague, surviving heroes search for a cure.
The Scarlet Witch is already scary as it is, but imagine a zombie version of her. She cannot control her thirst for blood. And she gets really mad when she’s hungry. I know everybody wants the MCU to be real but for the first time, you’ll be happy that it is just a fictional universe.
5 - Mother Zero
See Mother Zero Run:
Appears In the Netflix series Resident Evil
What Is It About: Years after a viral outbreak caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker vows to bring down those responsible while fighting to survive against the Infected. While on a research mission, Jade crosses paths with a gang of scavengers. Years earlier, Jade and Billie tried to make a fresh start in New Raccoon City.
This series already starts with an interesting difference between the show and the game. The zombies are very fast and are called zeros. Now, as we continue to watch the show we find out that they actually have a queen bee. Specifically, a mother. She controls them, their minds are linked. And no, she is not smarter than them but what can we expect from a zombie?
4 - The Tank
See The Tank Run:
Appears In the game Left 4 Dead 2
What Is It About: Set in the zombie apocalypse, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Left 4 Dead, the #1 co-op game of 2008.
This cooperative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps, and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns.
This is the scariest zombie in L4D, in my opinion. The witch is a close one but there is no fear like watching this giant abomination come stray your way with a clear intention: To kill you. And he will not stop until the job is done. You can already sense that he is coming because the ground starts to shake. Like our bones when we see him. Just one piece of advice: Run and don’t look back.
3 - Tyrant
See Tyrant Run:
Appears In the series Resident Evil: Damnation
What Is It About: American special agent Leon S. Kennedy is sent to a Slovak republic to investigate rumors of the use of biological weapons in the civil war. Upon his arrival, he is ordered to leave the country but decides to stay and find the truth.
If you played Resident Evil 2 you know the fear of this well-put-together man coming after you. But now we can see Leon trying to fight for his life and running like hell on our screens while eating popcorn. It is really refreshing to see the characters have to deal with the threat for once.
2 - Sheila Hammond
See Sheila Hammond Run:
Appears In the series Santa Clarita Diet
What Is It About: Joel and Sheila Hammond are everyday suburban real estate agents in Santa Clarita, California. The couple faces a series of obstacles when Sheila undergoes a metamorphosis, becomes undead, and starts craving human flesh.
Now, this series is very interesting. We can see from the perspective of the zombie, and the best part is that she is totally capable of making rational decisions. Well, sometimes. It is good to have a TV show with zombies and comedy. Sheila tries her best not to eat everyone that annoys her, hides from her daughter (and the rest of the world) that she eats people, and assures her husband that they can definitely handle a few murders per week.
1 - Captain America
See Captain America Run:
Appears In the series What If… Zombies?: Episode 5
What Is It About: When The Avengers are infected by a zombie plague, surviving heroes search for a cure.
When you need a hero, the most obvious choice (if you are American) is Captain America. After all, he will always have your back and protect you, right? Wrong. Not in this universe. Thankfully, we are safe and sound, but the other Avengers are not. It is really painful (and fun) to see them fighting to the death with their former teammates.
