On the 7th of April 2015, CD Projekt RED (The Witcher's developer) announced two expansion packs for the game, titled "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine". Hearts of stone is expected to be released in October 2015, while Blood and Wine is expected in the first quarter of 2016.

Prior to it's release, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sold over 1.5 million copies of the game, thus giving it's ranking of No. 1 in the UK software sales char in it's first launch week, the income generated by the game was 600% higher than it's predecessor, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. It was also the best-selling video game in the UK of 2015.

Given this history, it's no surprise that a large number of people are awaiting the expansions that are to come, one of them in particular, seeing as how there's a little under a month left until October.

As of now, you can Pre-Order the expansion pass for 24.99€ on Steam; the Expansion Pass secures your access to the two new adventures that Geralt of Rivia is going to undertake.

 Heart's of Stone - What's new

Heart's of stone will take the famous monster hunter through an all-new 10 hour adventure into the No Man's Land as well as the alley's and underbellies of Oxenfurt, where  he will try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass.

 Blood and Wine

If you were a bit disappointed by the fact that Heart's of Stone will only take about 10 hours to complete, then rest assured, because in Blood and Wine, you get 20 hours of new adventures. The expansion introduces the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, it will take Geralt to a land yet untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.

The Upcoming expansions will offer gamers new content, new gear and new foes, but it will also feature characters both new and dearly missed, all of which, according to the developers has been "all crafted with maximum attention to detail and quality."

There's not much you can say that can follow-up all of that, but since this IS a gaming article, I suspect that more than one person would be interested in seeing what you need to have on your PC in order to run this bad boy, so here goes:
