From discovering the joys and frustrations of Mario and Duck Hunt at the age of 8, learning her way around a PC to play Lost Vikings in MS-DOS at 12, to building a Tetris shelf altar to classic game systems in her family room, Emily has long been a bold adventurer in the pixelated halls of Geek. An avid reader and born story teller, she enjoys introducing people to new stories, games, and adventures. Between working on articles and performing live storytelling at her local Story Slam, Emily enjoys a wide variety of games, logging thousands of hours around the dining room table with games such as Settlers of Catan and Dominion, and in video games such as Don’t Starve, Animal Crossing, and Minecraft. She married a fellow gamer, spawned three mini geeks, and enjoys spending family nights dominating at MarioKart. Her current (heavily modded) game of Stardew Valley is in year 6, where she has more money than is in any way reasonable, yet still not enough for the stupid golden clock.
