The audio is an important piece when it comes to this game. You must hear the enemy from any angle. If your audio is not right it could mess up with your gameplay. Some people can play with all of the audio off and just rely on teammate’s callouts, but I don’t recommend doing that.
15. Convert Incoming Voice to Chat Text
This setting can be distracting if it’s turned on. This could cover up your teammates screen if there is too much chatting going on. Converting Incoming Voice to Chat Text is helpful for the player screen won’t have messages covering it.Can hear other teammates.
14.Play Incoming Text Chat as Speech
This setting helps with the chat to be spoken out loud. The only problem with this is that it could be distracting and annoying your other teammates. That’s why turning it off can be very helpful. Playing Incoming Text Chat as Speech is good for helping to not distract teammates. This also helps teammates that don’t have mics to communicate.
13. Incoming Voice Chat Volume
This helps to adjust your teammates' voice during the game. You can have better gameplay when you are able to hear your teammates. Incoming Voice Chat Volume is good for reducing sound and helps players to hear their teammates better.
12.Voice Chat Record Mode
This setting allows players with a connected mic to have an Open Mic or push to talk key option. This is a personal choice. Voice Chat Record Mode is good to use because Push To Talk has no background noise. Open mic saves you time from muting and unmuting.
11. Master Volume
This setting is your personal preference. Determining the volume that you have it at, it can determine the rest of your settings. If you are wearing headphones the volume level might change. Master Volume is good to hear your teammates better. Helps to adjust your other settings.
10.Open Mic Threshold
This setting is the easier option, but lowering it makes you have to talk louder. This is effective with the Push To Talk or Open Mic option. Open Mic Threshold is good for:To hear your teammates better. Your mic is also sensitive.
9.Music Volume
The music is only there in the lobby and when they are dropping. This setting can be so loud it’s impossible to hear your teammate. Turning it down will fix the problem when dropping into the game. Players will be hearing their teammates during drops.
8. Lobby Music Volume
Having the lobby music on can indicate when the match is about to start if you are not looking at your screen, but having it up too loud, you might not be able to hear your teammates if they are turned down too low. Lobby Music is good for getting you ready for the start of a match. Indicates if your teammates want to make a game plan.
7. Push To Talk or Open Mic
This setting truly determines how you would want to play. It also depends on what system you are using to play Apex. Open Mic is more so console players, while Push to talk is more so for PC players. Push To Talk or Open Mic is good to have easy access to talking to teammates.
6.Dialogue
This setting is for if you want to hear and see what your character is saying when you are playing. Having this on can distract the player when it is a battle happening. Dialogue is good to hear what your character is saying if you are using Wraith.
5. Controller Headset Volume
Depending on your headset type whether it is double ear or one ear, you have a better chance of getting one step ahead of the enemy because you will be able to hear them farther. You can adjust what you hear or how much you hear on your system setting and in game settings.
4. Non -headset volume
If you are not using a headset and want to play the volume through the screen instead of your headset you have to change some volume settings around so your game isn’t so loud. You would want to put your music volume down, but keep the sound up so you can hear your environment.
3. Dialogue Volume
This setting can be either an advantage or disadvantage for communicating or for even battle. Depending on your settings this could help you out during the game. Dialogue Volume is good for helping players to hear footsteps better.
2. Sound in the background
This setting is more so for PC players and when they are on a different screen. This setting will still let players hear their game. Sound in the background is good for players who will still hear the game in the background.You can still hear the game when you are still on a different screen.

This setting is for the environment. This can essentially improve your play style just by hearing your background more. Sound Effects Volume enables you to hear the environment better. It can improve gameplay just by hearing more game sounds. Using sound effects can make your gameplay more enjoyable.
