9. Huge Platform (Best for a large base)

If you love building and your dream is to create a large, creative and impressive base, this location is the perfect option. A huge platform that offers a big, flat open space that brings an incredible advantage when it comes to construction. Moreover, there are a few explorer's notes around this spot. And if you are also interested in taming, this is a great spawning point for Titanosaurus. 

What makes the Huge Platform great: 

• It’s incredibly convenient and easy to build on a flat, large, open space
• Spawning point for Titanosaurus 
• Explorer Noted can be discovered 

How to get to the Huge Platform: 

• Easy to access with any mount 
• Situated in the Western part of the map

8. Carno Cave (Best for a tribe)

The Carno Cave is an excellent base for a tribe. Hidden underwater, this cave will definitely increase your heart rate while exploring it. However, if you succeed, the effort is worth the price. It’s a great spawning point for powerful creatures and it can be easily secured so other players can’t get in. It’s close to the beach and a bunch of useful resources, so what more can you ask for?

What makes the Carno Cave great: 

• It contains the Artifact of the Devourer 
• Easy to secure 
• Can be used as a hidden base
• Multiple drops 

How to get to the Carno Cave: 

• Excellent access with Direwolf/ Beelzebufo/ Thylacoleo/Baryonyx/ Sabertooth
• Situated on the North-Eastern side of the map
• You have to cross the ocean and get to its island first
• Coordinates: 14.5 longitude, 86.0 latitude 

7. The mini-mountains (Best for accessing all resources)

The mini-mountains are situated in the area around Far’s Peak. They are an incredibly beautiful location for a new base on the Island. Apart from the impressive landscapes, the gorgeous waterfall, and many other aesthetic qualities, The mini-mountains offer accesible resources, especially metal and spawning points for important tames. A river surrounds the area, adding a convenient water source just next to your base. 

What makes the Mini Mountains great: 

• A lot of resources around 
• Spinos and T-Rex for taming 
• Access to metal 
• Close to other useful locations 
• The river is a close water-source
• Amazing view

How to get to the Mini Mountains: 

• Situated on the Eastern side of the map, close to Far’s Peak 
• Coordinates:  43.3 longitude, 66.4 latitude

6. The Stone Isle (Best for keeping your tames)

This one is best suited for tribes that aspire to build a complex, extravagant base. It contains both a generous building space on land and enough water to satisfy your tribe’s needs. Unfortunately, the water is not deep enough to be used as a pen for your tames but has many other uses. As an isolated and impressive place, this Isle has the perfect position when it comes to securing the base. 

What makes the Stone Isle great:  

• The large lake surrounding the Isle 
• Perfect for building an impressive base 
• Lots of metal around 

How to get to the Stone Isle 

• Situated on the Southern part of the map
• Surrounded by the ocean, but has access to the continent 
• Coordinates: 86.8 longitude, 56,5 latitude

5. Herbivore Island (Best for safety)

When it comes to this isolated island, the name speaks for itself. The main advantage? No carnivores to annoy you. This location is a natural dino pen, extremely useful for keeping your tames safe and happy. Even more, there’s no need to worry about a water source, and there is even some metal laying around. You’ll have your own island, easy to defend and full of amazing herbivore spawns. What more can you ask for? 

What makes Herbivore Island great:

• Natural pen for all dinosaurs
• Perfect for keeping your tames safe 
• No carnivores around, so no dangers 
• Plenty of resources 

How to get to Herbivore Island: 

• Situated in the South-Eastern part of the map
• Isolated and surrounded by water. Access with a flying mount is the easiest
• Coordinates:  83.7 longitude, 84.0 latitude

4. Hidden Lake (Best for PVE)

A hidden lake in the middle of the forest sounds like a dream. This place can be secured easily, so only you or your tribe have access to its amazing advantages. That being said, the location is one of the best for PVE. Even more, there is a supply drop that appears constantly. The Hidden Lake is surrounded by mountains full of resources and excellent dinosaurs for taming can be found just near the place, in the Carnivore’s mountains. 

What makes Hidden Lake great:

• Easy to secure, perfect for PvE
• Close to Carnivore’s mountains
• Supply Drop in the area
• Incredible views
• The small lake as a water source in the middle of the mountains

How to get to Hidden Lake:

• Situated in the North-Eastern part of the map
• Coordinates: 23.0 longitude, 69.7 latitude 
• In the middle of the mountains, it may take a while to find it

3. The center (Best for advancing faster in the game)

Don’t confuse this with the map called The Center. As the name suggests, the location refers to the central part of the map “The Island”. Why it’s an amazing base location? Building a base here will get you the best progress in the shortest time. The Center offers quick access to a variety of resources, drops, and carnivore dinosaurs for taming. However, keep in mind that you have to be ready to defend this place, as it’s constantly exposed to dangers. 

What makes The Center great:

• Lots of resources
• Close to all important areas of the map
• Full of dinosaurs, especially carnivores 
• The snowy area & Great Hills are easy to access, help you advance faster in the game

How to get to The Center:

• Situated in the Center of the map
• Coordinates: 39.9 longitude,49.4 latitude 
• Between The Great Hills, Frozen Tooth, and Winter’s Mouth 

2. Redwood Lake (Best for landscapes)

Apart from being strategically situated, the best base should come with the best views. After all, everyone is more motivated when they are surrounded by gorgeous landscapes. The Redwood Lakes offers everything a player needs: access to the Redwood Biome, an amazing lake, high-level dinosaurs, and proximity to the Swamp Cave. Moreover, The Redwood Mountains are just next to your future base, offering their metal nodes. 

What makes The Reedwood Lake great:

• High-level dinosaurs spawning in the area
• Beautiful lake 
• The Redwood Mountains with metal nodes 
• Incredible views
• The Swamp Cave has one of the best drops in the game

How to get to The Redwood Lake:

• Situated on the western side of the Redwood biome
• Coordinates: 62.3 longitude, 34.4 latitude

1. Brawlers Bay (Best for strategic position)

Brawlers Bay is the best base location on The Island by far. Apart from its impressive waterfall and hidden cave, Brawlers bay has a strategic position, close to both The Snow Biome and the Volcano. This means easy access to multiple and different resources, including Organic Polymer. Even more, the depth of the water is perfect for building a dinosaur pen for your tames. 

What makes The Brawlers Bay great:

• Close to Volcano & The Snow Biome
• Plenty of resources available
• The best landscapes
• Perfect for keeping all of your tames 
• Great temperature, perfect distance from The Snow Biome

How to get to The Brawlers Bay:

• Situated on the Western side of the map
• Coordinates: 48.4 longitude,19.2 latitude
