5. Moschops
Moschops is a passive creature, closer to a mammal than a dinosaur. This sweet animal won’t even notice survivors around it unless it’s attacked. It can be tamed passively and quite easily, by simply feeding it berries or cooked meat when it’s hungry. Its favorites include amarberry, azulberry, cooked lamb chop, cooked meat jerky, and many others. As a shy, cowardly creature, the Moschops need a lot of encouragement to attack other dinosaurs, but they are incredibly efficient gatherers, especially when it comes to fiber.
What makes the Moschops great for Fiber:
- It has an autonomous harvesting skill that allows it to gather bushes and trees while set on Wander Enabled. If you don’t want to lose time harvesting bushes around the map, a Moschops is the best solution!
- It’s similar to the Giganophithecus, and way easier to get. Moschops are found everywhere around beaches, and you are able to tame them even as a new player.
- This creature is one of the most important tames of the early game. Its fiber gathering efficiency is incredible, harvesting enough not only to feed itself but also your other herbivore tames.

- The Dire Bear is an omnivore that can adapt to almost any climate. Even more, standing next to a Dire Bear provides 35 hypothermic or hyperthermic insulation.
- Due to its high base weight and speed, the Dire Bear is an excellent transporter, so it doesn’t only harvest fiber efficiently, but it also carries it to storage.

3. Therizinosaurus
A Theri saddle can be unlocked at level 69, as taming this creature requires some technique. Opt for shotguns to the head, fast mounts, and ranged weapons. In terms of taming food, get some Exceptional Kibble, Fresh Wheat, Fresh Barley, or Soybean.
What makes the Therizinosaurus great for Fiber:
- It has outstanding harvesting speed and 5-star efficiency. This creature can focus specifically on the resource that it’s collecting, filling its inventory in no time. Therizinosaurus gains access to harvesting level points each time it levels up, separate from its primary level points.
- Just set your Theri to Wander in a fiber-rich area and watch it gather incredible amounts of resources without any effort. Just like the Moschops, it’s an autonomous harvester. The difference is that there are very few creatures that would dare to attack it.
- Add level points to the Delicate Harvest option to increase your Therizinosaurus’ efficiency at gathering fiber, silk, rare flowers, plant species X seed, plant species Y seed, wood, thatch, sap, raw meat, and many others.

2. Tek Stryder
What makes the Tek Stryder great for Fiber:
- With the Excavation Rig, you can harvest unbelievable amounts of fiber instantly. The Rig requires a charge to be maintained active and an extra charge to be fired, but it’s 100% worth it.
- If you combine the Excavation Rig with the Resource Attractor Rig, you get the perfect harvesting combo. You will get a Tek Stryder capable of getting maximum resources before it gets weighed down.
- Weight and full inventories are no longer a problem with this creature. Capable of connecting to a dedicated, Tek Storage Box, the Tek Stryder can harvest resources continuously without losing any time.
- After metal, ambergris, and thatch, the Excavation Rig has high efficiency for fiber, thatch, oil, and many others. Even more, it can be used to instantly clear the path while filling up your Stryder’s inventory.
