Ark: Survival Evolved How To Increase Distance From Host

First of all, let’s describe some useful terms, like Tether distance. This means you can invite your friends to play with you without going to the trouble of hosting a dedicated server. However, as you will all be on a non-dedicated server, your friends’ characters will be tethered to the host, and they won’t be able to go more than a specific distance. The good news is that this distance can be easily set from the game’s settings, by following some simple steps. 

How it works: 

• Open the game and click on Host/Local 
• Find the “General” menu in the left part of the screen and scroll down 
• Find the text “Non-Dedicated host tether distance”. Under this text, there will be a box with a random number 
• Adjust that number to its highest value
